TitleBout Championship Boxing?

Post by paddydugan »

I used to own the Avalon Hill board game TitleBout by the Trunzo brothers. I also owned the Lance Hafner computer version of that game and, in fact, helped clean up the programming of the old Apple Basic version of that game... OK, OK, I just dated myself. :o

I now see that there is a new (2004?) version out of that game. I haven't been able to contact either of the Trunzo brothers via email so here I am asking...

Have any of you played this newest computer version, is it worth the $25, and is it still available and currently being supported with patches and updates?

Thanks in advance for all your help. :D

Hi Paddy

You can get the program here.

I loved the old Avalon Hill version. It was just great. I considered writing a VB or XL version but then stumbled across it and just bought it.

The game is good but some of the ratings are a bit out but then that's always the way with these games, it's all down to personal preference.

all the best

Yeah, I used to have the board game as well and used to play it all the time between the ages of 10 and 20! The PC version is great, yeah, and well worth the money. My girlfreind thinks its very very sad, however, and takes the piss out of me mercilessly whenever she hears the "ding" sound effect...its worth factoring that in when thinking of purchasing it.
