Boxing pubs in London?
I know real pubs are becoming a thing of the past, but is there any pubs in London that are boxing themed like you had years ago? eg. The Thomas A Becket; The Royal Oak.

I don't know if this is what you're after, and I've not been so I can't say whether it's any good, but the Ring in Southwark is boxing themed, has paraphenalia on the wall, etc.Eddy wrote:I know real pubs are becoming a thing of the past, but is there any pubs in London that are boxing themed like you had years ago? eg. TOP BANANA! Nice one boys. I forgot all about Charlie's pub. He used to have a sport shop as well around there. I'll check out the other one too.

Not as good as it used to be in there sadly :( Still has all the photos on the wall and a great old pair of gloves behind the bar, but where they used to have boxing only on the TV now they have a picture of a fire, + the decor has changed.earsjohn wrote:I don't know if this is what you're after, and I've not been so I can't say whether it's any good, but the Ring in Southwark is boxing themed, has paraphenalia on the wall, etc.Eddy wrote:I know real pubs are becoming a thing of the past, but is there any pubs in London that are boxing themed like you had years ago? eg. Have a nice selection of Whiskey tho'.
You have the Tom Cribb on Panton St close to Picadilly + The Lamb and Flag in Covent Garden - they used to stage bare knuckle bouts in there.
Both decent enough places if you go at the right time.
