First fight I recall watching and the one that got me hooked was Ayala-Adams 1. Lewis-Rahman II was the first "big" fight I watched.

Sure I'd watched more before it, but first one that springs to mind is McGuigan Vs Laporte.

Bruno Vs witherspoon on the Sunday after the fight and not believing that Frank lost.

Ali-Spinks. I was 7.

I used to be allowed to stay up and watch sportsnight. Big name Boxing seemed to be on it every other week.

A distinct early memory was buying into the hype that Bruno was a killing machine poised to destroy all he faced. Even Lawless said he expected Frank to start knocking opponents over the ropes. I was a bit young to understand the concept of tomato-cans.

It was on ITV's 'world of sport' around 1pm if I remember rightly. Me and my brothers and sisters were cheering on Ali sat on my mum and dads bed.

Would have to check out the boxrec calender to know which of these came first - but my earliest memories include.

Hagler vs Hearns, Bruno vs Witherspoon, Curry vs Jones, McGuigan vs Cabrera.... Although I do remember telling my school teacher way before the Cabrera fight that McGuigan was the best thing since sliced bread.
