Will Burns knock him out

Post by Camcas »

To me this is a fight Burns should be winning inside 6 rounds, but he only has 7 KO's so im wondering if he actually will get a knock out or will it be a points decision?? To me it looks like Burns is quite big at the weight so im not really sure why he hasn't got more KO's

However i still thinl that Ricky will KO him

I carnt see this being as easy as people think for burns. It's a fight he should be winning with ease but Laryea seemed really awkward to fight against when he fought Appleby. I see it goin 12 rounds

i reckon he might stop this boy in the middle rounds? rickys obviously not a concussive hitter but his punches are sharp and accurate. but laryeas gonna take this chance like burns took his so it could make for interesting viewing early on?

These two contesting for a World title is a perfect advert for what's wrong with boxing.

I don't know really. Burn s title fight was cracking & his opponent wad proven world class. There is some not so great world champs but Ricky earned his fair and square. Great fight , I boxed that night and it really was electric in there.

Burns should stop him. Laryea is very poor relative to the world class level. Prior to his last win he had beat one opponent with a winning record and that guy is now 2-6. I know BoxRec rankings aren't perfect, but damn, 125th in the world?

At least I hope so, I've put £40 on it, that's me dinner money for the next two weeks!
Yep it did - tell them you made a mistake and change the bet!

I think it will go points as well. Laryea is awkward and when Appelby did force the issue, he didn't fold. Also, Burns isn't exactly Julian Jackson either.

If I put £40 on Burns to win by KO, I get my money back - as long as he does win by KO, mind. You lot have got me thinking about it. If I go ahead with it, you can guarentee the upsett of the year.
Stick with your instincts mate - good luck

I blame you. You told me to stick with my instincts, I know my instincts are shit. You should have known better.
Looks like I'm on cold beans for dinner every night next week.
:witzend: It works both ways - plenty of boxing tonight to win it back on!!!!

I'm glad you've got that feeling. It confirms to me that Cotto will beat the pants off Mayorga.
