Yeah, I can't see this ending well for El Terrible. I'd love it if he could somehow pull it off though.greenyox3 wrote:Lookin forward to this one.

For Macklin? Linares is about 4 weight divisions below Macklin.greenyox3 wrote:his opponent is still "tba", but Jorge Linares has been mentioned apparentlyleforge wrote:Also is macklin still fighting?

Re: Morales v Maidana on sky
It was looking like a great card with Morales/Maidana, Katsidis/Guerrero, Macklin/Winky, and Linsares in a tough fight as well. Even without Macklin it's a brilliant card but it will lose a lot of appeal if Katsidis has too pull out!
Re: Morales v Maidana on sky
Katsidis' fight is going ahead still

Hope your right Terry. Here's what I read, just copy and pasted it.Terrrrry wrote:Katsidis' fight is going ahead still
Katsidis injured while sparring in Thailand, fight with Guerrero in doubt
By Jim Dower: In what could be terrible news for the April 9th fight card headlined by Marcos Maidana vs. Erik Morales, lightweight contender Michael Katsidis (27-3, 22 KO’s) suffered a bad cut over his eyebrow while sparring in Thailand to get ready for his scheduled 10 round bout against Robert Guerrero (28-1-1, 18 KO’s). The cut was reportedly bad enough that it required 5 stitches to repair.
Re: Morales v Maidana on sky
Katsidis' Facebook status update option confirmed that he'll still be fighting earlier on today.
Re: Morales v Maidana on sky
Good stuff mate, keep me updated. Katsidis gets cut all the time. Must have a lot of scar tissue round both eyes. I fancy katsidis to beat Gurerro. Will be a good fight with Guererro ahead on points in the first few rounds then Katsidis taking over from round 6, stopping the ghost late on.

saw this elsewhere
MID-WEEK FLURRIES
There was a bit of a scare relating to the Michael Katsidis-Robert Guerrero fight on April 9th as Katsidis suffered a cut during sparring this week. Some were speculating that the fight would be scratched but Katsidis’ adviser Sampson Lewkowicz told Maxboxing that the cut was minor and the fight will proceed...Speaking of that Golden Boy-promoted pay-per-view card, that slot vacated by the withdrawal of Winky Wright could be filled by junior welterweight Danny “Swift” Garcia.

Re: Morales v Maidana on sky
gutted Macklin isnt fighting Winky, but well done for Sky picking it up with Katsidis v Guerrero and Mack still probably on the card, heard they wanted Mora but he's not ready to fight after his loss to Vera.

Re: Morales v Maidana on sky
Very nice, Sky are definitely upping their game at the moment, well done to them.
Re: Morales v Maidana on sky
Even though I like Maidana, I'm hoping Morales can pull it off.
Re: Morales v Maidana on sky
Surely Morales is going to get an ugly beatdown here?
