DAVID TUA VS DEMETRICE KING THIS SATURDAY ON MAIN EVENT

Post by davidk59 »

This should be a bit of a slugfest while it lasts. I think Tua needs this KO to get back on track ,Bowie Tupou underestimated King and got smashed in 2 rounds lets see some fireworks.

It's Soi versus siale in a rematch on the undercard too. I remember posters on here who saw the first one and said unbeaten soi was a little lucky to get the decision. I'm not sure if I can go to this even though it's only $40-60 for a ticket, it's out in Manakau and there's no public transport after 11pm, I'm too tight to catch a taxi and the long walk home would mean walking through the badlands of Otahuhu, besides which it's live on moari t.v and free.

Hey Boxrec posters, had the chance to meet Demetrice King on Monday and saw him spar 4rds with NZs no1 Amateur Heavy weights. He would be just a little taller than Tua with maybe the same reach..As for Oscar Siale he hasnt had the greatest build up to his rematch with Soi but the fights he had before Xmas i believe will put him in great stead to be victorious over Soi... Up untill Monday the card for the night wasnt in fine print thats why anit on Boxrec.. :TU:

Little taller? His record gives King as being four inches taller than Tua. His KO of Tupou has been his only win in his last five fights.

Siale will get beat by Soi, possibly even stopped although its only a 6 rounder and hes tough enough & experienced enough to survive!!! His succession of tough fights in which he takes alot of punishment factor in his age, and now the talk of a less than ideal prep for this fight leads me among others to believe hes on his last legs!! Soi is a boxer/puncher and i no hes looking forward to the rematch!

Tua via stoppage inside 4

According to "Stuff NZ" Tua intends to bulk up to 110 kgs for the fight while King will be 120 kgs.

put them together and you would nearly make Butterbean. :(

700 pounds in the ring! Will the structure hold it?

You'd be better off getting Harry Funmaker again. He beat Butterbean in the Bean's last fight.

Well I've booked it on Main event for $29 so I hope it's on . It will be good to watch the fights at home on a Saturday night for a change.
I think our NZ friends can watch it for free on Maori TV ,so fingers crossed hope it's on.

He lost a point in the 4th for lifting and slamming Siale into the canvas which didnt help matters on the scorecards, however I had him winning 4 rounds possibly one of them being a draw with Siale maybe winning 2 rounds. Soi was hurting Siale with some good clean shots had him in big trouble in one round, just couldnt quite get the job done. I'd like to see him come down to light-heavy, improve his conditioning also
