I admire any boy or man that steps into a boxing ring. No matter how bad or good, ...it takes balls of steel. To be willing to take a beating in front of freinds; strangers and family for our "entertainment" (belive me). But that Auderly Harrison winds me up. I've read some posts on here saying that he's been calling people out to fight him AFTER that Haye fight lol. If he didn't trap it so often and give it the big "I Am," Always saying he's going to do this and do that, win this belt and win that belt. After that last preformance against Haye he sould retire. I think McDermott has more heart than him. You can have all the talent in the world, but you need a big heart in boxing; something Harrison doesn't have. :(

The problem is, this has been going on for over 5 years now.

Harrison has to be the greatest paradox in boxing history.

I used to think he was a coward, but I now retract that, because, like you have said, a coward would not repeatedly get into a boxing ring.

The problem with Harrison is that he seems unable to channel his fear properly.

Prior to a fight he's bullish & combative, but the minute he gets into a boxing ring & an opponent aims a punch in his general direction, a look of abject terror appears on his face & he literally soils his underwear.

I would also like him to retire because he clearly does not have the ability to overcome his fear in order to be a boxer, but he isn't going to retire any time soon.

All I can hope is that he doesn't get seriously hurt, because going into a boxing ring with the kind of fear & apprehension he usually displays will lead to the inevitable.

Sure you can say he was overpaid, and ultimately the whole thing failed, and while this is a common stick with which to beat Harrison, people forget that the BBC invested in the sport, not just one man, but it was that one man's Olympic success that was the catalyst.

Remember there was a 2/3-year spell when we got not only Harrison but Danny Williams, Sprott, Haye, Hide, Reid, Woods, Froch, David Walker, Nicky Cook etc domestically, as well as international action featuring De La Hoya, Barrera, RJJ, Forrest, Mosley, Mayorga, Vitali Klitschko, Tapia, and more.

It galls me that he makes so much money out of boxing, yet other often superior fighters who give their blood, sweat & tears, year in, year out are nowhere near as wealthy as him & never will be.

Even now, after all the farce & letdowns, there are folk talking him up as a possible credible challenger for Tyson Fury or Dereck Chisora.

Do you know why it will never end????..........Its because most of us still deep down want him to do well as he was an olympic gold medallist and i think most of us want to see him fulfill his potential. He doesnt do himself any favours , but i reckon we all still are closet fans of Harrison

Well I'll never question the courage of a man who stepped into the ring but Harrison has earnt handsomely from the sport and as someone who is a professional and paid to fight, the A-Force 'gravy train' should be kept well and truly off the rails.

Audley turns pro @ 30

2003 allegedly starts a hate bullying campaign called Fraudley with Ricky Hatton hate behind it......... (because he never fought Matt “Rogan” Skelton).

Goes unbeaten for 19 fights including a 2nd knockout against a man that took Solis the distance.

Fights Williams for the commonwealth title... Williams does his usual barging and both men fall in the 2nd round where Harrison fractures his left hand.



Harrison fights useful prospect in Dominick Guinn... fight is very close despite reports from the idiotic internet community, the boxing community even Harrison’s ex trainer and most of the entire world.

Harrison fights Sprott and receives his first KO amateur or pro and instantly becomes a Zakman if Zakman himself didn’t say this about every fighter.

For a bloke with no heart, the 2nd Sprott fight was quite something, and the pasting he gave Danny Williams 2nd time round was very impressive.

I don't think its a complicated as people make out. Hes simply greedy and cowardly, but his greed is greater than his cowardice. He has sold himself purely based on his successful amateur days when he was protected by headgear and overly officious refereeing. The massive bravery gap required between amateur and the less protected pro game has just been too much and has caused him to shit his pants over and over. However, the sheer amount of money that was thrown at him by people who were convinced that if you were good at one you simply must be good at the other, helped boost his bravery at least enough to step between the ropes. We all know if we were offered millions to step into a ring with Haye we would all sign the contract without hesitation, well perhaps immediately after ordering the ambulance and joining Bupa. Audley is no different, its just that he looks far better than we do hitting a heavybag and therefore can be sold to the public. It just goes horribly wrong when the heavybag hits back.

There has been two big KO's but the second fight in particular was awful. Plus, the loser and winner are going to exactly the same place in their career..... nowhere. I have no interest whatsoever in this.
