Hi I'm on looking more info about my late granda or how and where to go to find out more. He came from the shankill road and fought out of the Shankill Hammer in Agnes St, he fought in the 1950s and was known as The Shankill Mauler and wore red, white and blue shorts. He fought in the Ulster Hall and Kings Hall as far as i know. And he also fought on the night Alex Maskey fought P.O;Neill in 1962. My granda also fought under the name H.Caldwell as that was his born Surname as his late father(John Caldwell) died, the name Tate came after this as that was his step-fathers surname.
Any info of any kind that anyone may have to help me find out about my late grandas boxing history i would be very grateful. Thank-You...Laura
