James (Bonecrusher) Smith has now been changed to the ultra obscure James Smith.
In the last day or two someone has needlessly changed Donovan (Razor) Ruddock to Donovan Ruddock.
No doubt James (Quick) Tillis will be changed, and someone once again will change Mitch (Blood) Green into 'Mitchell Green'.
These names are changed from one to the other every few months by editors who must be at war with each other. Is there any established rule on this kind of thing?
Im sure most people on the forum would agree if a boxer has a nickname that takes the place of the forename more often than not they should be presented as such.
However obviously something like John (The Quiet Man) Ruiz or Vitali (Iron Fist) Klitschko etc obviously would not qualify.
I totally agree about the names... Mitchell Green... That's what the Birth Name part is for.
Regarding weight - For non-champions it should be what division they had the most fights at, for champions it should be which division they had the most title fights at.
