Can't say to be honest having not seen them fight, but if the art of hitting without being hit is boxing, then from what i have seen,Graham was a complete master at it.Carlos-Wigan wrote:I don't know about that - what about Jock McAvoy or Len Harvey?bigjack wrote:yiddo14 wrote:

Except when he stood in front of one of the biggest P4P punchers in years with his chin in the air...bigjack wrote:Can't say to be honest having not seen them fight, but if the art of hitting without being hit is boxing, then from what i have seen,Graham was a complete master at it.Carlos-Wigan wrote:I don't know about that - what about Jock McAvoy or Len Harvey?bigjack wrote:

Seriously though, it's ironic that a fighter that is best known for his defence is probably best remembered for getting brutally KO'd for committing a basic mistake. I was gutted when he lost to Charles Brewer. It seemed such an unlikely comeback but he came very close to finally getting his world title. Shame.

Evatt sure had world class power; anyone he hit flush was in real bother. He weren't the same after the Jones bout though.1southpaw wrote:I Always Thought Richard Evett Was Good Enough To Be A World Champion He Gave Junior Jones A Good Going Over In There FightCrease wrote:Few good calls there. The Law wrote:Spencer Oliver

sorry it's one thread of this name too many. Maybe it could be a sticky? And maybe all the regulars who post the same answer every month could come up with one especially funky and elaborate answer so they never have to robotically type out their platitudes ever again?

Dean Francis - great shout
Michael Brodie also - still cant believe how much he was shafted against Jorrin, that was one of the worst con jobs I have ever seen

Not the best but Jim McDonnell was a really decent boxer, good skills and a hell of a workrate unlucky against Mitchell and Nelson. Also Gary Jacobs was a really decent southpaw and showed against Whitaker he could compete at the highest level
Re: Most talented British fighters to never win a world title.
A fighter who no-one has mentioned yet.
Eamon Magee
Could have been a World Champion, maybe a Unified Champ at that. But nights of boozing... And it was all pissed up a wall.
