Klitschko v Solis - spoiler

Post by dondada »

What a shame.

Temple shot from VK and Solis went over. Looked like he twisted his knee; tried to get up and did but couldn't continue.

I know everyone will say it was bollocks but ANYONE can be done by a temple shot - and he was.

It didn't look like the temple shot was the reason for him not being able to continue. His leg went. I don't know if it's legitimate or not, though.

Seems more like it was the injured knee that did it than the temple shot.

If he hadn't have had the temple shot, his leg wouldn't have gone, is what I mean - he was scrambled by the head shot.

I think his brain was really rattled by the shot and his legs went which caused him the injury to his leg.

That#s my reading of it

He was definetly hurt by the shot and seemed to fornicate his knee up on the way down. Shame as he was doing quite well. Just got a little over eager and was caught coming in.

I thought the leg poped as he threw the shot before Vitali clipped ( and even that is being kind to the shot ) him.

Strange.

Exactly Ian, that punch done him right in, he may of went down awkward but he managed to get back to his feet looking like he'd consumed a gallon of vod!

If he wanted to go down the injury route he would of stopped on his ass.

It looked like the left leg reacted to the punch but it wasn't even a clean temple shot. I don't think Solis was acting when he got up and couldn't put any weight on the right leg though. This is a strange one.

I have also done my ACL and there isn't a chance I could have got to me feet within 10 seconds of it rupturing! And I was physically fit at the time.

Solis even though it was only one round was doing well,a fighter actually trying to attack a Klitschko but the temple shot just scrambled his brain and his leg was injured.

Think it was going to be a good fight too, shame really, only Haye left now that has even a hope of beating a Klitschko.

That's the weird thing about these type of shots though, as you know.

You get hit high on the head by a big lump and sometimes you go. That's it.

He did duck down extra low just before any punches landed but i didn't spot a reaction. We need lots more replays.

Such a shame really, such a disappointment. Definitely did a knee injury. He was doing well up til then he caught Klitschko with a couple of shots but then just seemed to crumble of the first punch that landed on him. Duno, poor and very disappointing.

Yup looked like he twisted his knee throwing the shot. No way was that from the tiny punch that scuffed the top of his head. Even vitali knew that punch couldnt have hurt him.

If your head gone you cant lift your hands to hold your leg like that.

I think his knee just went - Vitali landed high just as it did, but I don't reckon there was anything on it - which is why Vitali was so furious at the end: he knew he hadn't hit him, and thought he'd dived.
Weird, Solis was looking dangerous up to that freak ending.

Vitali has Kod loads of guys with odd shots that dont LOOK hard - see Herbie Hide.

We need to see some replays
