hatton should NOT fight corrales

They could always do a PPV unification event at 3 different locations with a live satellite link up. Hatton in Manchester, Calzaghe in Wales and Harrison in Scotland. This maximises the profits as SN gets three very big gates in the one night as well as a good PPV draw. Not to mention the great publicity boxing would get in Britain for organising such an event.

Well using your example, Hatton and Cotto are proven at 154 then.
Hattons 146-147 fight night (against Zoo) and neither him or Cotto have fought guys who've gone up to supposedly be best at WW or LMW. However bigger guys find it easier going up in wieght - fact

I think hattons "fight night" weight is being misconcieved. He weighed 147 on the day of the fight for the second IBF weigh in which states you can only be 10 pounds over 140 on the day of the fight. They didnt do a pre fight weigh in ala HBO, but I would estimate he was in the low to mid fifties.

Since when has this ever stopped other fighters moving up for a big fight?

Its all part of boxing, can`t really remember when a fighter has beaten all the contenders before facing a champion in a heavier class.

In my opinion, Witter's hit the nail on the head there.

Personally, I'd say Witter should fight Harris next. One of the most comfortable 'world class' fights he'd get now. Plus he gets the WBA, which wouldn't hurt.

UNLESS, of course, Floyd or Gatti. I'd say Gatti if he beats Floyd. If Floyd wins, then I reckon he is the biggest fight in terms of the greatest threat to Hatton. I would then actually say it depends on what Floyd wants - Hatton, or move up to fight Judah.

Having said that, I'm the guy who's spent half the day trying to find out what the Pickering result was last night

Thought things were a bit quiet.

Sorry, but just have to add...just had a look at Harris' next WBA opponent. with all due respect, this guy is a chump (to quote Apollo Creed.) No offence, but Maussa'a surely not a mandatory? To be honest, Corralles should probably have been campaigning at Lightweight for most of his career, he seems to be more solid and hitting as hard as ever at the weight.

Thankfully Jessie James Leija has retired, otherwise you just know FW would be calling him up as a 1st defence.

I reckon Hatton has had more than enough soft touch "defences" in the run up to his great win - he's proved himself good enough to mix with the best from now on, and I'm sure that's what he wants.

No point coming in under motivated, against a B level opponent, and losing on a cut or something like that...

Gatti would've been perfect..Harris would be a great fight too...and no doubt Corrales is an excellent fight, and a dangerous one too - a natural puncher who could well turn out to be a bigger hitter at 140 than Zoo for instance.

As for Witter - well why not? Beating N'Dou earns him a shot. And I'm sure Hatton would love the chance to shut him up once and for all.

Does it? I'm not so sure about that. What's N'dou's pedigree?

If that's the case, Hatton's fight with Tackie earned him a shot. N'dou gets talked up a lot, but all I see is a fairly limited brawler with good fitness, a great chin and decent but not outstanding power.

Well the whole rating thing is so murky, but I'd say N'Dou and Tackie were near enough top 10, so both Hatton & Witter can get title shots without causing too many red faces.
I mean this is a world where fighters can get shots off the back of a loss. The WBO has some of the most bizzare ratings ever seen.

And who's this guy fighting Harris? He's lost two of his last three fights....
