I should have mentioned Kevin in the article because he's Celtic champ, but I think he'll find it hard to get a shot at any of the other titles again. I could be wrong though!

James, Kevin should be included in that list and i hope he gets a deserved chance again. Kevin is more than due a shot at the British or Commonwealth title again. Hes been in the top ten in Britain for 5 years ,,mybe longer. He lost a close fight, last year, to Mark Thomson in Manchester and did so with muscle damage to his right arm which happened in the 2nd round. He then fought and dominated Steven Haughin in Belfast for the Celtic Title and in my opinion performed close to his very best. That fight should have seen him challenge for a British or Commonwealth.. . Kevin has been overlooked time and time again. He beat Tony Docherty in wales, beat the much fancied Kevin Anderson twice, got stripped of his British Title only 3 months after defending it!! Fair enough, he lost to Brook and the close fight with Thomson. As Kevins trainer, i have no fears for him with any Domestic welterweight. I include Mathew Hatton in that also.

cbellshaw - I saw K in that Celtic fight and he did look impressive. I was unaware of his injury problems. When is he back in action?

He is ticking over just now waiting for a phone call. He was due to fight for the EU title in January against Luciano Abis but had too withdraw with a fracktured Knuckle. The show in Italy fell through anyway. I thought the board may have nominated someone for him to defend the Celtic title. He is now managed by Jimmy Gill and hopefully he will get news soon.

I was the Irvine Magnum the night he beat Anderson for the British title. Think he was 7/1 or summit? Crazy price. Anyway he won well, he's bin unlucky not to get another title shot. Hope it comes soon.
