The 201 Open Class Final is already set with Joseph Williams who won the Northeast Regionals going against Mark Sinatra

OK.... When did Freddy Samuels lose?
I heard some talk earlier in the tournament that he might take the 201 open

That was a error, 201 Open has one more show before the Finals...

Freddy P was injured in sparring from what I heard and had to drop out...smh

Don't have the results and what not but the 152 Open Final is set...

Christopher Galeano (Mendez BC) will face Jeremy Fiorentino (Win Or Die BC)

I believe Fiorentino has made it to the Finals in the past at a different weight......Fiorentino has beaten Galeano in the past in a seperate tournament...

Galeano defeated Peter Dobson (Havoc BC) and Fiorentino defeated Charlemagne Juste (Suffolk PAL)

Thomas Hardwick won the 201 novice last year and was in the open this year, he also got hurt in training all that just clears the way for Joe "Mack" Williams..... as watered down as it will be

I Here they move at least one of the 201+ open fights to Wednesday March 23 @ 2K boxing instead of Friday March 25 @ Empire Casino?
Can anyone tell me is that true and is it both semi final bouts or just one...

Peter Reyes (Gleason's Gym) gave Herve Duroseau (Freeport PAL) all he could handle and the score was close 3/2
I thought Reyes pulled it out being the aggressor throughout the fight but Herve with his slick boxing style got the nod had to be the fight of the night.

There was one 201+ open fight although it was not on the website
Elijah Thomas is in the finals after stopping Roberto DePalo I don't know how DePalo made the semi finals, no skills the 201+ open is weak this year the best fight was Igor taking out the favorite Morban 2 weeks back, the other 201+ open semi final is Friday. Igor should take it all in the 201+ open

Thursday March 24: Blessed Sacrament Church, 198 Euclid Avenue, Brooklyn NY 11208
Featuring
178lb Open
201+lb Novice
123lb Open
165lb Novice

This should be a great card, the 201+ Novice is very competitive this year better than the open 201+.
4 heavy hitting super heavyweights left, watch Gary Burrell big strong kid with some boxing skills.
And of course the 178 semi should be hot too M. Brown and D. Lee still got that grudge going from last year.

Definently looks like an exciting card, I'll be in attendance....Marcus and DeVaun actually don't have a grudge...at least not like before...they sparred each other after Marcus stopped him last year......I'm sure they'll both bring it tho......I actually hope they don't meet until the Finals...

Watch Titus Williams at 123 Open...he can be slick when he's on his game.

Two top fighters in the same weight class trying to win the same crown...
one stopped the other last year (in the finals or semi I don't remember)
They may smile and exchange pleasantries with each other..... but it a grudge match :box:
Should be great to see I hope it's the finals match-up and I'm still rolling with D. Lee

True...it was the semis last year.

Yea I'm pulling for DeVaun...if he can keep it a boxing match he may be able to frustrate Marcus and take it...Marcus didn't look good in his last fight so I've heard....we'll see.

Frankie Garriga lost earlier in the tournament but his opponent shouldn't have been allowed in the tournnament...I believe he was kicked outta the tournament (Martin Parlagi)...

Not exactly sure what happened with Wilfredo Morales who also was in the tournmaent...

If the other kid was kicked out for being a non-citizen (im just assuming) then the Frankie kid should be allowed back in... Why was he DQ'd?

March 24th, Blessed Sacrament Church
Brooklyn, NY

123 Open
Frankie Garriga (Morris Park BC) def. Titus Williams (Freeport PAL) 4-1

165 Novice
James Clarke (Aaron Davis BC) def. William Sutton (Freeport PAL) 5-0
James Scalafani (Veterans Memorial BC) def. James Clarke (unattached)4-1

178 Open
Marcus Browne (Atlas Cops N Kids) stopped Chellamar Benard (World Class BC)RSC 2nd(0:53)
DeVaun Lee (New Legend BC) def. Nikolas Sokurenko (Gleason's Gym)5-0

201+ Novice
Eugene Russell (Kingsway) defeats Isaiah Gervais (Morris park) 3-2
Gary Burrell (Gleason's) Defeats James Yarborough (Gleason's) 3-2

Great card last Night Marcus Brown and DeVuan Lee looked sharp in there separate bouts, that's going to be a great finals fight...... I'm taking Lee but he better box cause Brown has power.
Titus Williams seemed frustrated in his bout and lost 4-1 which I think was an upset no more old man referrers please he let plenty of holding and hitting go on both sides even after the bell of the first round with not even a warning.
And the 201+ Novice was too close to call all winners by 3/2 to set up a finals of heavy hitters
I'm taking Burrell he had to gut out his win in the 3rd round last night with all heart.

Sorry for the confusion...Frankie was allowed back in cuz the person he lost to earlier in the tournament was not a citizen...they called up Frankie, he made weight...and won........and I'm not exactly sure what happened to Wilfredo Morales...he didn't fight

It was kinda funny during the bout between Sutton-Clarke. They said the wrong corner had won...people were going nuts...never seen that before lol

DeVaun Lee looked sharp...he CAN beat Marcus but I just have a feeling he may get caught...he keeps his hands too low, even when coming in...that's how he got KOed last year...came inside hands too low...Marcus side stepped and nailed him...

Marcus Browne looked big and strong...his opponent had no business being in a ring anywhere near Marcus...

Marcus Browne looked great and DeVaun Lee was sharp and it will surely be an upset if Lee wins but I like the underdog in this case.
I saw a few Semi Final matches on different dates and I wonder how some of these fighter got that far.... Chellamar Benard (World Class BC) should have tapped out as soon as the bell for round 1 rang. Your right he had no business being in a ring anywhere near Marcus... LOL
