Is Martinez taking Booth for granted?

Kiko Martinez seems to be very very confident that he will walk through Booth in their upcoming fight.

His promoters are talking about how they wont defend against Casey and how they think that Frampton was too scared to take the fight that they had offered him.

Is it just me or has Martinez forgotten that he has to beat Booth before he can plan any defences of the Euro title.

I have not seen booth fight recently but I know that he is a seasoned pro with a fine record, will he beat Martinez by any chance?

Lots of men shouting about their right to fight for the title but the main man Rendall Monroe is very quiet. I see that he has a fight coming up against some poor kid with a record of 3 wins and 3 losses. Sounds like an execution to me.

I just read on Eastside boxing that a bout is being organised to pit Booth and Monroe against one another in the summer if Booth claims the European title.
Thats more like it.
I like Martinez punching power, but Monroe has proven that he can handle Martinez whenever he wants, so he should be in the shake up for the title.

I don't think anybody could take Jason Booth lightly - the guy is hard as nails.
I saw him fight Ian Napa at the york hall years ago and he turned the crowd around - shame I had a soft spot for Napa, atleast he got his own back.

Classic example of Boxer vs Puncher. Martinez is dangerous at this level. Good puncher he's also tough. Booth should be able to outbox him but at this stage of his career it's still a hard fight.

What do you mean by that ??????

I mean it's another case of you putting one of your top fighters in against a guy that doesn't stand a chance and over the last 6 months or so it's become a regular occurance at your shows especially with price and dallas.
Rendall proved he can hang with the best in the division so putting him in against a novice of only 6 fights (3 of which he has lost) is hardly inspired match making is it?
I understand munroe will want to shake off any ring rust but surely it would of been possible to get someone with a little more experiance?
I'm not talking suger ray leonard here as i know rendall has a bigger fight lined up after this one but maybe somebody that has fought for a british title just to justify being in the same ring as rendall?

I agree with this. Rendall might not hit like Pacman but he does have too much experience for a man with 6 fights who's lost half of those.
