I was wondering the same. Whoever wins is likely to get a World title shot, imo.

Just read on another forum that the fight was cancelld. Don't know if there's any truth in that but the way this 'proposed fight' has been going don't think we'll be too suprised.

Heard the same thing. Bloody shame. seems as though this fight may not happen. Oh well.

The fight was pulled from the Boxrec schedule so it was obviously cancelled again.

Olusegan is in danger of completely falling off the radar. He may have to chase for the British title again just to keep his name out there or else fight for the vacant European Title. The Chebah fight is a write-off by the looks of it.

Anyone know who promotes him?

It would appear to be Matchroom, he's on there shows regularly.

Is it Chebah's team that is responsible for this fight getting cancelled so many times?

I think there is a bit of unrest in Algeria as well, could be something to do with it.

Wasn't it also cancelled last time because of unrest in Algeria?

I think Olusegun should get made the mandatory challenger, if it is Chebah's team responsible for repeatedly scheduling the fight in places where it is unsuitable to fight.

Olesegun has a new manager Ivalyo Gotsev the same guy behind Samuel Peter, Ismayl Sillakh etc so I don't expect him to fight in Britain anytime soon.

As posted earlier the phrase that springs to mind is He's in the who needs him camp cos he's to good for his own good. He bring zero to the table but is a talented guy.

I was curious as to why the fight would happen in Algeria, I know Chebah is from there but it's not known as somewhere Boxing takes place.

Yeah its a hard place to get boxers to go to, but Algeria has produced some tough men in the past. I remember Tony Booth boxed there a few years ago. He said this "The fight I took in Algeria was in a very hostile place. I accepted a last minute bout against Mohamed Benguesmia and on the way into the ring, they were all threatening me. I could have won easily but I wanted to get out alive so I thought I'd better lose".

The fight originally scheduled for the end of 2010, but the Algerian authorities stepped in and announced the fight could not take place and it was re-scheduled for last Friday. It has now been called off again for seemingly the same reason and has been given an initial date on July 5th for the bout to be completed.
It is a farce.

Why not have this fight in Paris or Marseille?
