Who next for Guillermo Rigondeaux, Rendall Munroe ??

Post by Deano s »

Ithink this would be a good match a way back to world title for Rendall and a great Test for Rigondeaux

Think Rendall Munroe is due to box the winner of Martinez and Booth. Think Muroe will beat eaither of them. As for Rigondeaux I think he could cause a lot of problems to any of the Super Bantam Weight Champs. Maybe go for Steve Molitor who is a good boxer but didn't perfom that well against booth.

everything that I have read about this performance suggests he scored 11 out of 10. Even the picture in Boxing News, Casey is just slumped and looks like he don't know what hit him and Rigondeux looks cool as a cucumber. I'm gonna start following this guy! Gonna see if it's on Youtube...doubt it though... :box:

The bout was similar in precision to the prime Don Curry v Colin Jones or Milton McCrory; devastating balance, anticipation, speed and power. The shots that hurt Willie looked effortless due to the timing and balance of Rigo. (Casey is a very good, fit and game boxer, the Cuban looked outstanding, at World Title level).

Frightening body punches Rigondeaux was throwing there, a right hook to the ribs about 40 seconds in completely did Casey. He barely punched after that.
He's definitely good to watch, but at 30 years old, you might not be watching him for that much longer!

nah. He's conditioned. He'll do a Casamayor I bet. He could afford to slip and still hang around at the top for years by the sounds of it.

IMO, Rigondeaux is the best in the division. I'm really looking forward to seeing him against someone like Molitor.

I've only seen Molitor against booth and wasn't very impressed. Rigo would destroy him if he fought like that IMO

I think Molitor used to be much better (before being dominated by Celestino Caballero). He's a good name to have on your ledger. :TU:

Munroe needs to avoid Rigondeaux! Rendall can still get a shot against maybe Moliter or another champion so doesn't really need a fight with Rigo, also it's a terrible stylistic match up Rigo would expose all of Munroes flaws (slow feet, hittable)

Wow, I didn't realise Molitor lost either! Well, he didn't look good against Booth - Jason himself hasn't looked great when up against the better domestic Super Bantams - a cuts win over Marsh in a fight where he was trailing, and a Split Decision against Athur. Hardly world championship form - but yet he ran Molitor to a Majority Decision.

Try and get Ndlovu for Rendall, Frank..... very beatable.

Thats bull,Hunter got schooled in that fight and knocked out by a pretty light hitter aswell.
