Froch v Johnson 4th June Atlantic City
Glen Johnson has just confirmed that he will be boxing Carl Froch on June 4th in the Adrian Philipps Ballroom of Atlantic City's Boardwalk Hall in Showtime's semifinal of the network's Super Six Super. Johnson said "Yeah, it's going to be June 4, in Atlantic City. I haven't fought in Atlantic City in quite a while, It's been a long time. Probably three, four years. I'm glad that the fight is going to be in America,"
Don't know if we are going to get to see the fight on SKY but just thought ad you know it had been confirmed lads

So how does that work then? A take it Primetime offered more money for the fight or what?

So what will happen to the Sky box office show on May21 that Froch was part of. Will they move the 21 show to June 4.

This is my birthday. If anybody has got any flight tickets to Atlantic City that they don't want, I'd be more than happy to take them off their hands.

Really feel for Carl. Now fighting one of his biggest fights in a ballroom with a capacity of 3000

I'm surprised that this fight has taken so long to arrange, we've all known for months that this was their next fight.

This doesn't make sense to me. I know all about the 'contractual obligations' of the super six semi's being in the US, but surely it makes much more sense to have the fight over here? With a half decent undercard, surely they would shift 10,000 tickets. How many UK champions have had three title fights on the bounce away from home? That said, I'll pay to watch this fight anywhere, above any other PPV. Froch consistently delivers - His last five fights have been quality.chris s wrote:Really feel for Carl. Does anyone know how many tickets the Dirrell fight shifted?

However many tickets it would sell in Nottingham it would not make up for the convenience and cost of having the bout in America. The people behind Johnson might not have fancied it either after the decision in the Dirrell bout.Dan Dares wrote:This doesn't make sense to me. I think it can be solely put down to the fact that it's made for American TV. It will have to be at an appropriate time for their audience.mickey1975 wrote:However many tickets it would sell in Nottingham it would not make up for the convenience and cost of having the bout in America. The people behind Johnson might not have fancied it either after the decision in the Dirrell bout.Dan Dares wrote:This doesn't make sense to me.
