NFL Guy on Sky's Boxing?

Post by Carbo »

I don't often get a chance to watch the Sky British commentary, so perhaps this is old news, but, without actually hearing who the commentators are, I think it's Jim Watt and the guy who does the analysis on Sky's NFL coverage?

Actually, I quite like him. He's not polished or knowledgeable yet, but he stays quiet often, and lets Jim Watt do the talking, which I think is rather a nice for TV Boxing, because too often commentators forget that we can actually see what's happening.

Anyway, is it him? How long's he been doing it?

I think that if he can learn the sport, he has loads of potential.

Nick Halling has done loads of sports, including boxing. I've always liked him.

Nick Halling bugs me. Maybe it's because he is a jack of all trades. He's like the smug guy on the other team when you do a pub quiz. A know it all and expects to win.

Rant aside, didn't he do kotv?

Yeah I noticed the new voice the other night, wondered who it was....not bad, he left it to Watt and wasn't distracting at all.

I agree, good allrounder.

Sat next to him at a charity dinner a copule of years ago, and he was a very likeable chap.

Halling is superb

He virtually makes Sky's coverage of the NFL on his own!!

Agreed, good commentator - thought with Sky's standing in the world of TV they should develop their guys rather than use "voices" that are so familiar from "other" channels.
