Any Boxing shows around the greater Manchester area

Post by wizz99 »

Please forgive me if I've put this in the wrong section but I wasn't sure where to ask.

Just wanted to know if there's Boxing shows around the greater Manchester area? Small shows? Not looking for the big shows like one's at M.E.N (where you're far back and can't see anything and expensive) just a smaller venue with some good fights. Can anyone help me out?

Thanks :box:

Hi Wizz ,

VIP are doing one at Leigh Sports vilage on the 6th May , to be announced very soon with around 10 scraps - £30.00 is good value if you ask me , but I would say that.

Cheers,

Puts some cracking shows on does Steve.

And look at some of the fighters he's had over the years, Jamie Moore, Gomez, Gary Davies, Gary Sykes to name just a few. How this man has not had major tv backing is astonishing.

Nice guy to boot.

If I was you I would make sure that you try and get yourself up to one of Steve's shows at Colne Muni.

So I have been lucky enough to watch boxing at many venues in Ireland (north and south), Scotland, Wales, England and the even a couple in the US, but for Colne Muni tops the lot. I have been to 4 shows there now and it never fails to disappoint.

Northern York Hall. The crowd as so close they are almost in the ring.

I went to the York Hall for Frankie Gavin's recent fight and I can genuinely say that it aint a patch on Colne.

I went down to York Hall when Sykesy was in Prizefighter and it was awesom but the magic of the tournament adds to it. I was impressed with Colne the other week though, I'm told that was one it's quieter nights.
