garry delaney

Post by johnnykayo »

does anyone know if garry delaney has got parole ? i thought it was a absolute liberty givin that lad life as it was not intentional,i mean he never went out and planned on killin that fella,it was self defence from what i can gather. i think the judge made a grave mistake giving him life, manslaughter more appropriate. i remember reading in the paper when he first turned pro he was labeled the "new billy walker" and pride of west ham,a lethal puncher, with a huge eastend following. i honestly thought he would of gone all the way at light-heavyweight as he was unstoppable, and their was talk of him at the time fightin crawford ashley. i watched that 101 greatest knockouts and his fights are on their, its a shame how he ended up as he was a hot prospect in his day, like a lot of ex-fighters the lure of door security after their career is inevitable, lots of them go that way to work on them and unfortunately can lead them into aggro as drunken "space cadets" always want to prove something if they know a former champion is working on the door.

I don't know much about Delany other than he was a nasty piece of work? Well that's what I've heard?? But to be honest that's peoples opinion, I'll for every person who disliked him there'll be another 10 that'll say he was ok.. Either way though I personally don't condone beating women!! Chaining them to the cooker yes but beating them?? Maybe not

The trial heard Delaney then appeared to spray Mr Farrell in the face with pepper spray, dragged him outside, dumped him in the shrubbery and punched him.

When Mr Price remonstrated, Delaney beckoned him over to where his friend was lying and then hit him "without warning or reason", the court heard.
He seems like a scumbag to me.

Jordan is trash. I find the other one better looking anyway although she looks stupid with that pointy nose job she's got. I'm a sucker for Danielle Lloyd too but I suppose you gotta tar 'em all with the same brush. Actually scrap that, Lloyd has not got anywhere near the depths Jordan has and probably never will.

I saw a "newspaper" headline this week it said something like "Jordan's now done something so bad that this is guaranteed to destroy Alex (the cagefighter) for good!!"

What these people, including the papers that print them are doing, is basically earning a monthly/ weekly salary by selling their self-respect, credibility down the pan......Would you take Jordan home to your Mam?? Would you f*ck because she's trash allegedly.

And the worst part is little girls are growing up right now wanting to f*cking emulate this brainless freak of fcking nature. It's criminal.

Rant over.

I think any boxer that deliberately aims a punch at the man in the street is sick. I've seen it done by a someone to a man whose only crime was that he happened to be trying to enter a club with an extremely ugly, drugged up, trouble making old skank of a woman who was shooting dirty, paranoid looks at the door staff from 10 yards away. They let her stay in the queue oblivious to the fact her behaviour had already marked her out before politely turning her away.

The bloke involved had done jack all wrong except become associated with this crank, who then goaded him into "protecting her honour"..... he then got a slap for his trouble though luckily the punch only grazed his whiskers cos he was moving backward. I know the lad who did it has matured a lot since then and he never punched like Delaney obviously can.

Put it this way, I'm a fittish guy I can bench 60/ 70 kg given a couple days to get back into it and I throw a decent shot. Never had a boxing bout in my life, and unless my safety was in danger or somebody else's I couldn't crack a fella over something silly because I don't trust my own strength.

Now for a pro boxer training 6-8 times a week hitting bags/ pads/ balls/ sparring etc....what the fck satisfaction can you get out of clattering an average Joe off the street?? :o

remember what I said about getting some fresh air now and then mate?? I think I have made a concerted effort to point out that I am not a boxer and have not had a bout in my life but have spent time training, and as such, I am trying to explain that I do not understand what far, far superior athletes and fighters (which I am not lefty) - what satisfaction they can get from belting a man who isn't........I thought I made that pretty clear lefty, I thought I did that.

I said it was a lame April Fool.....hey if you're gonna set that as a trap you have to accept if people think it was an easy one....how many did ya get with it?? You see my point.

I got a guy a couple years ago saying that Kell Brook was fighting for the European title against some Polish fella.....he'd only had about 7 fights. That's an April Fool :D

i knew garry years back trained in the same gym what he did was wrong and he deserved to be punished but to get murder was disproportionate and he should of been charged with manslaughter imo, he didnt intend to kill that man.

Without wanting to get too technical, an intention to kill is not the only way a murder conviction can be obtained. If a person intends to cause someone "really serious harm" and as a result of that intention the victim dies then it is also murder. I don't think an ex-boxer has a leg to stand on here. Given the facts of the case Delaney clearly knew that by punching the guy he would hurt him and cause serious harm. That is enough for the requisite intention and given that the guy then died it is murder.

Why? Sometimes 'man in the street' asks for it. Sometimes 'man in the street' is a such a wanker that people like boxers can't leave the house and live a life because they know they are going to get challenged and abused, sometimes 'man in the street' doesn't know when to stop and when drunk 'man in the street' can also be dangerous as well - thats proven every day.

I will always remember the case of Stephen Cranston - a mountain of a man but by all accounts a gentle giant who put one of your 'man in the street' in a wheelchair because 'man in the street' went too far which provoked the judge in sentencing Stephen Cranston to say 'in your case you were forced by extreme provacation but because you are a boxer you are going to jail' I don't know what the 'extreme provacation' was (I am sure somebody on here will know more about the case) but sometimes when 'man in the street' does provoke a boxer out of some inferiority complex issue they have - they deserve the hiding they get. I didn't know because someone is a boxer they also become a walking aunt sally for morons.
