Re: British Top 30 P4P April 2011
Yes. I thought winning a couple of rounds against Bute was enough to move him above Brook, who has not done very much recently.stujones wrote:Brian Magee went up for losing?

Fan-fornicating-tastic, once again, my very weirdly dry friend.

I have highlighted the fighters that I think are significantly too high in red, and the fighters that are significantly too low in green.
Re: British Top 30 P4P April 2011
I think Jason Cook being ranked 17 places behind a guy who he drew with is a bit harsh - yet it would appear you think there should be a bigger gap between them, horse?

Re: British Top 30 P4P April 2011
How can boxrec have McDonnell and Booth so low?
Re: British Top 30 P4P April 2011
It is only a computer calculation. I don't think his placing is as bad as a lot of the other fighters.Londonirish wrote:How could they have Ashley Theophane 16Look at the boxers he's a head of on the List....
It seems very kind to the heavyweight division: Haye 1st, Chisora at 5th, Sexton at 19th, Fury at 20th, Harrison at 24th, Rogan 41st & McDermott 46th.
5,000th post.

Re: British Top 30 P4P April 2011
That fight was over a year ago and Daws has done more than Cook since the fight, and he had done a lot more in the recent years before the fight.stujones wrote:I think Jason Cook being ranked 17 places behind a guy who he drew with is a bit harsh - yet it would appear you think there should be a bigger gap between them, horse?
I think Daws being in the top 50 P4P is reasonable, but Cook shouldn't be that high.
Re: British Top 30 P4P April 2011
Daws is 1-1 since.... Cook hasn't lost since and beat a half decent fighter in Jones.
I aint saying Cook should be ahead of Daws, but there shouldn't be 17 places between them.

Re: British Top 30 P4P April 2011
Rendall Munroe is only 28th and Stuart Hall is 40th as well.alexpaterson wrote:How can boxrec have McDonnell and Booth so low?
The fighters from lower weight divisions don't seem to have as many points as the higher weight fighters.
Re: British Top 30 P4P April 2011
I don't consider Jones to be as good as Williams.stujones wrote:Daws is 1-1 since.... Cook hasn't lost since and beat a half decent fighter in Jones.

Cook's best win in the last 5 years is against Barrie Jones. He just hasn't done enough to earn a place that high up the rankings.
Daws has beaten much better opposition compared to Cook in the last few years. A draw between the two of them (that happened over a year ago) is not enough to make them need to be very close in the P4P rankings.

You actually waited until then to post it so it wouldn't be called a joke? You make me laugh.Posted: Fri Apr 01, 2011 12:00 pm
You post it almost dead on midnight each month. It appears robotic.
It's a good list, though.
