It was clear he had something to have pulled out the Khan bill, I know he has upset some people but I hope he does himself proud in this one.

Sturm is not the fighter he looked like he might become and is evidently more hittable than at any time in his career and as I said
before if Javier Castillejo can stop him, Macklin clearly possesses the power to stop him as well.

He needs to drag Sturm into the trenches, not get wound up at the refereeing and just keep coming, if he can develop some head movement from somewhere
he could win this late on for me

Was a text from my pal. He works over in Germany. One of them ones where he knows someone who knows someone sort of thing. But he is a good source.

This is a very tough fight for Macklin, I rate Sturm as he's very underrated I believe, Macklin must stop him if this is in Germany, he has a chance but it'll be tough, fair play to Macklin for taking it though, Germany is a very tough place to go!!

Bomber, would you go out to Germany to fight? or would it have to be for a world title?

I'd go anywhere in all honesty mate, if you truly believe in yourself it doesn't matter where that ring is, I think Macklin has that kind of mentality too to be honest..

I reckon this is a lot tougher an assignment for Macklin than a lot of folks over here would suggest. Sturm has a tendency to box down to the level of his opponent but other than the Castillejo blip there are a lot of decent names on his record (maybe not absolute world class but still some useful operators). Given Macklins lack of activity I can see him getting stopped late or beaten quite widely on points. Depends how seriously Sturm takes him of course, if he's less than perfectly in tune then that's a differnt story....

I'd be intigued to know what kind of odds you'd get on Sturm overe here given that there will be decent backing for Macklin.

Good answer.

I've been a critic of Macklin over the past 18 months and i hope he proves me wrong, tough fight though.
I admire any brit that will fight in europe as it is never easy to get a decision. Thats the one thing i'll say about Haye, he's travelled to reach his goals.

Anyway, back to the point, even though i haven't exactly backed him recently, i do hope he walks away as the middleweight champion

With a hint of Brum.

Anyway, I am a Macklin fan and really hope he can pull this off. Would be massive to have another world champ and imagine the big fights that could be made on the back of it if he wins. Come on guys, lets get behind him for this and support him.

Sturm because he has been very overprotected. Yes, he did Oscar De La Hoya but tbh he probably got very serious pay check for it since it was the fight that set Oscar De La Hoya up for the massive fight with Hopkins.
