Could John Simpson be close to an IBF title shot if he beats Swifty? I see that Dib and Garcia are close to agreeing terms to fight for the vacant title and John is no 4 (with no 2 not rated) so would it be possible that he could get into a mandatory position?

john simpson a credit to boxing he s came back and beat my mate truscot twice and truth i thoght he beat swifty as well and deserves a big reward and the ibf title would b that hell old his own with any feather weight

simpson had everything in his favor last time, home advantage, smiths 11th fight 1st time live and sky and he done his hand in and imo won by 2 rounds think this will be a lot clearer, i respect simpsons always comes to fight and he sone well to beat lindsay but think smith is just to good for him

i was asked after the booth fight for smith but knocked it back to heart broken to fight him after a body builders diet fucked me up but he surely on the up and the next best feather weight coming through if he beat simpson again he the man at feather weight

If it's a vacant title fight then I think their rules state a mandatory not due for another 12 months?

My money on Swifty but you gotta admire Simpson!! The guy faces anyone and everyone, IBF title might be a bit too far.. European would be ideal for the winner..

I disagree with you Tony, Stephen got the nod somehow last time when John boxed for his standard very poorly but mate i can assure you and everyone that Simpson is in great nick for this fight and is super determined to win, as im sure Stephen will be. A IBF title shot would be a great overdue reward once Simpson gets Stephen out the way!

Really hope Simpson wins and gets his shot! I think he can win, in the last fight he tried to box Smith to much IMO and needed to put more pressure on throwing the combinations and roughing the less experienced Smith, taking him into rough waters. IMO Simpson needs to put on sensible pressure and I think he can get the win! Should be a cracker though
