Buckland on Khan bill!

Post by Camcas »

Just seen that Gary Buckland has been added to the Khan against Rafael Hernandez who is probably better than his record suggests however he is fighting the weekend before this also so can't be that capeable fighting two weekends in a row. Nevertheless good to see Buckland in action again

Who u reckon wins over 12rounds? I have to say ad opt for Sykes he is a nice boxer when he puts his combanations together. Been put down twice in his last two fights so some could question his chin. If he learns to step back with his chin down he could give any Super Feather weight in Europe a good go. As for Buckland, the guy just doesn't give up, Murray gave him a bit of a beating but he would still be in that ring with Murray if it was 20 rounds. To be honest ad love to see elimanator with Buckland and Foster

I like Buckland - showed a massive set of cods against Murray, who is naturally a lot bigger.

I don't think Sykes will want anything to do with Buckland, not after prizefighter. Buckland was brilliant that night.

I'm chuffed Buckland is back, I've been looking forward to seeing him fight again and I agree that he would have taken Sykes over twelve rounds. However, I still won't be shelling out for what should be a Sky Sports 1 event! I paid out for the Haye vs Harrison PPV and was gutted. Not by the main event, but by the fact we only saw the groves fight and two rounds of another (I forget who was fighting in the 'highlights' we were treated to). Promoters really need to get their act together. This still isn't worth £14.95 in my opinion, I'd have liked to see the likes of Buckland fighting on Barkers come back show (Sky Sports 1!). If people are paying for the Khan fight because of the undercard, then make sure your going to SEE the undercard first! I don't see why a PPV can't show the entire show, it's not as if they need to make way for other programmes, the PPV is the only one on the channel!

Didn't you see the post fight interview after Johannson? Sykes wanted it, but Maloney jumped in and said that Buckland really hadn't done anything at that weight class to be regarded as a valid opponent.
I'm seeing 3 fights for him in the next year and a bit.
Fegatalli, Walsh (he's coming up nicely) and Buckland - if he gets a few more fights at super feather.

It's alright saying you want it but getting back into the ring with a guy who brutally knocked you out is a different matter.

I've spoken to Sykes and his trainer Julian McGowan several times and they want Buckland again at some stage. I've also spoken to Tony Borg on facebook and he wants it for Buckland as well.

I can Sykes fighting Truscott in May and then Buckland after that, providing neither of them is offered Fegatelli in the meantime.

Sounds great, hopefully one of those fights is local!
