i think hall will always lose when someone can stand up to him and not get bullied, but as you say him v webb, aaron and selkirk will be good domestic fights

Fancy that.

That would be a good fight for Brit Boxing

It'll be interesting to see what the plan is. He knows his level now and in a way that isn't a bad thing. Whilst he'll probably remain as fearless as he's ever been, he should be rational enough to 'play the game' a bit and not over-reach. His style is compelling enough at British level to draw an audience and if the right matches are made he could hang around and earn a few quid over the next few years and still leave the sport in one piece. His retirement always looked a bit impulsive; but he's that sort of guy.

I'm not sure he'll stay at light-middle, I personally believe he'd benefit from the extra 6lbs on the scale.

I don't know about that mate, I know he's is a stocky guy but he's pretty short for a LM at 5ft 7inch. He was a pound and 1/4 under for the Konecy fight. Doubt he would come in that light if he was struggling at the weight. Glad to see he's coming back: he's one of the most exciting fighters in Britain win or lose.

I always thought he was just too short for Light-middle. If he could somehow drill himself down to welter or light-welter he'd have more of a chance imo, but it all depends on his weight-making abilities. He's a stocky little thing so I guess it might be hard for him to get much weight off.

Matt is always in fantastic shape, trains hard and lives boxing when the fight is on te radar, he's always consistent with hIs weight and he has good power at LM so why move down?? I think Matty will be back in title contention soon no doubt..

I thought move down as his style is based around aggression and dominating his opponent. But at Light-Middle he actually looked small against his opponents in a couple of his losses (in my opinion) and got out-bullied himself, so my argument would be, drop down and see if he could bully people a bit more easily at the lower weight.

Hope he does well, nice lad. In hindsight Kolcenthingy was all wrong for him. There's been other champions at the weight that he'd have had a better shot at.

i think it would be better if he got with the hattons, more opportunities and the manchester connection would helo. really like him as a fighter and think he's better than people give him credit, will be in the title mix in my opinion coz he does love the sport and just needs to iron a few things.

I think you're correct actually. Matty is all about shock and awe and if his opponent is neither shocked nor awed, it never bodes well. That's part of what makes him so exciting; he's a pure fighter.
Don't all of Arnies boxers fight exclusively on Allegedlys bills. So that would rule out an appearance on Hattons bills.
