I would go as far as say i do not think the Hatton's have build a young fighter up yet, the way FW and FM do for one they do not know the boxing business world or have anyone like Dean Powell or people around them like FM has.Who is there matchmaker.

Leicester's Rendall Munroe returns from his world title shot in Japan when he tackles Andrey Isaev of Belarus on the Amir Khan-Paul McCloskey bill in Manchester later this month (April 16).
Southpaw Rendall went the full 12 rounds with Toshiaki Nishioka for the WBC super-bantamweight title in Tokyo in October, before conceding a unanimous decision. The muscled Munroe soaked it up bravely and needs to bounce back quickly at the age of 30, which explains this 12-rounder against a known quantity in Isaev, who gave Kevin Mitchell an excellent fight in London in September 2006. He lost on cuts in the 11th round but had not been down and probably deserved the chance to see out the full 12 rounds on a F rank Warren charity show; however, referee Dave Parris doubted the Belarussian corner in their ability to seal the cuts and waved it over, much to Isaev's dismay.
Now down at featherweight, Isaev also lost to Oleh Yefimovych in a 12-rounder last year (points) but otherwise it is wins all the way at 23-2 (7). He lacks great power but boxes smoothly and travels well, having won in the States in 2009 and in Portugal and Turkey, so we can expect him to stretch Munroe, although Munroe is nothing if not solid in a boxing ring, nothing if not superfit, and he works away to the body and picks the better head shots en route to an entertaining 12-round decision.

Well, what goes around comes around sometimes. The business side of boxing is more of a dog eat dog world which has mainly been made that way by the promoters/managers of the sport. You wont find a promoter or manager doing anything for a fighter without personal gain for themselves and thats all well and good but so should it be all well and good if a fighter does something for themselves for personal gain then. I'm sure Maloney made a bit of the back of Munroe. No 'favours' are done in this sport.
How comes the promoters and managers all ways get the bad press No boxer helped me after i went under trying to build a stable of boxers and lost everything and i am not the only one to go this way. Yes there are some bad guys in the boxing world. But there are some who do care about their boxers and give more back them they take out and into days market there not many promoters making much money these days.
Yes good point, can see where your coming from and not everyone should be tarnished with the same brush but I don't think Maloney is one of those minority. Boxing is a hard enough sport for these fighters and I don't think anyone can begrudge them looking out for their own best interests.

What minority are you talking about and what are you trying to say about Frank Maloney.

The minority that do generally care about their fighters and dont just care for themselves. A 'stable of fighters'.....A 'stable of race horses. When a race horse has had its day and cant run anymore as their legs are gone and no good what happens? They're shot dead. What am I trying to say about Maloney? I'm not 'trying' anything, I'll spell it out to you. My opinion of Maloney is like the majority. Not in the buisness to do anyone favours, in it for themselves. So there is no problem fighters also looking out for themselves. They are not 'owned'.
Now I know you are most probably Maloney's little lap dog who he has wipe his arse for him (amongst other services
:TU: ) but please dont be blind or delusion and see the real world for what it is. He would most prob drop you if he thought he could get a better offer of services, you never know there might just be someone lurking to go that extra little bit further for Mr Maloney  and you could be dropped before you can finish undoing his belt buckle

You do not know Maloney he has no lap dogs, He keep himself to himself and is very much a loner likes the company of his wife, his dogs and friends outside of boxing. Look at the boxers who have left him and returned to him. All so there one guy who knows him better than anyone else he worked with Maloney for around 12 years, Maloney is more a boxing man than a business man. Yes he makes mistakes but will stand up and take the blame if he get things wrong. Fight people will tell you he door is open to talk with him anytime you do not need to go through anyone else you can go right to him. I will go on record as saying you are bang out of order in what you are trying to say about him. The Munroe thing does nor bother him that much he knows fighter will jump ship some come back is the way it was done. He told us not to talk about it anymore just let get on with what we do.

I got no beef with the numpty at all, just dont like double standards and just not scared to say it how it is, not like the rest of you now sucking up because mini me has threatend not to post again haha. If it was any other promoter and he had his boyfriend defending his corner because 'its the thing to do' I'd give my opinion just the same, after all these places are about opinions aren't they? If we dont agree with each other its a bit childish to cry off and threaten not to post again but I suppose we cant help people's attitude or character....

Yes your right, I dont have a hidden agenda I find it strange when someone comes on here wishing for a fighter to lose because they change promoters and why based on assumtions. People seem to forget, fighters are their own 'boss' they dont work for anyone, the managers, trainers and promoters work for them, they all get the reward out the fighter and like any 'boss' who employers workers he's going to want the best to work for him and if he feels his employee isn't getting him the best or feels he can get better out of someone else working for him he'll make those adjustments, yes buisness is ruthless at times but thats the way of the buisness world. Why should it be Ok when managers or promoters dont re new a contract with a fighter but when a 'successful' fighter doesn't re new they are frawned apon? And thats all that has obviously has happened here, Munroe hasn't broken any contract from what I can gather, he as every boxer has one shot at this sport, the side of it promoters and managers are in they have plenty of shots, they have many more years with fighters coming and going.

One hand on your keyboard, but where's your other hand  ..."I will go on record as saying you are bang out of order what you are trying to say about him" Oooo thats a big thing ...going on record :o , Ok, I take that back, your not his lap dog then, I take it your his rent boy (for free :TU: )
This is why people in boxing cant take these forum seriously and after read this FM has told all the staff and himself that we and him are not to post on here or respond on here anymore, He has never stop any of other responding or taking part in a debate so unfortunately the fan base on here are the loses.
Obvisly Rickshere has some beef with Mr Maloney...F**K HIM!! just ignore him..no need to stop posting :box:
I got no beef with the numpty at all, just dont like double standards and just not scared to say it how it is, not like the rest of you now sucking up because mini me has threatend not to post again haha. If it was any other promoter and he had his boyfriend defending his corner because 'its the thing to do' I'd give my opinion just the same, after all these places are about opinions aren't they? If we dont agree with each other its a bit childish to cry off and threaten not to post again but I suppose we cant help people's attitude or character....
Well, I'm not kissing no backsides here but I dont think Munroe would have got or be where he is if it wasn't for Maloney. How many fighters do you think would welcome an easier job (no disrespect for intended opponent, but on paper) to come back too after a tough title fight and tough year? You get... Cant make out who you are supporting or trying to say re Munroe or Maloney. Maybe your the Hatton's little lagdog

The issue here for me has always been one of how did Munroe manage the changeover. The fact that he changed promoters is upto him and I respect him for that decision. But if he didn't call Maloney as mentioned and handled it badly, well that reflects badly on Munroe and his team.

Now here's the thing... either you are an old poster pretending to be new, or you are a new poster displaying utter ignorance with regards to what's gone on here historically.
If, instead of charging round throwing insults at everyone, you'd taken the time to take a look around, you'd have seen plenty of occasions where various posters, including me, have been critical of the promoter-boxer relationship and its one-sided nature at times.
You're also still managing to spectacularly miss the point most people are making, which is that of course Munroe has the right to self-determination, but there's a right/professional way of doing that.

I'm not 'trying' anything, I'll spell it out to you. My opinion of Maloney is like the majority. Not in the buisness to do anyone favours, in it for themselves. So there is no problem fighters also looking out for themselves. They are not 'owned'.

Thank you for bringing to light that I have no 'beef' with Maloney which has been suggested and that I can see both sides of the coin. As you have pointed out I do think Munroe has benefitted from employing Maloney but this is his career and wishes to employ someone else to continue services for him.

Exactly, Maloney must of been notified. The contract must have run out and Munroe didn't re new, big deal. Things cant be based on assumtions that Munroe handled it badly. Maybe its a case of Maloney sulking, but I wont assume
