For those who haven't order the PPV.

Peter Haymer WPTS 10 Tony Oakey (defends English title).

Not the greatest fight ever, but Oakey was robbed here - honest he was. I didn't score the fight but he looked a good 3 round winner, he just wanted it more.

Rather poor from both in all honesty.

Main event coming up.

Round 1.

Bennett the agressor, Earl being cagey

Bennett landing some good body shots

Earl coming forward now half way through the round.

Bennetts work a little cleaner throughout.

Close round, but I think it is Bennetts 10-9.

Round 2

Good aggressive jabs for Bennett, he looks strong in there.

Earl lands some nice counters near the end.

Close round again, but I like Bennett at the moment 10-9 to Kevin.

Round 3

Some good combination work early on from Earl, he is the one coming forward now.

This fight is very close and is going to go the distance for sure.

Commentator (The american one, very pro Bennett).

Bennett has some more moments in this round,

I score this round 10-10 (with the edge maybe to Earl).

Round 4

Bennett start the round very slowly, on the back foot throwing little. Earl not doing that much but doing enough to win the round.

Bennett comes back in the last 20 seconds and probably lands the best shot of the fight.

10-9 Earl.

Round 5

Fight is warming up now, Earl lands more in this round mainly jabs, but Bennett's shots are definately more meatier.

Hard to score.

People will have different views on this round so I'll sit on the fence.

10-10.

Round 6

Great start to the round for Earl, beating Bennett to the punch.

Oh, Earl's walked onto a right and is DOWN!!!

Earl gets up early but its all Bennett now.

Bennett could finish it if he wasn't so wild trying to do the job.

Earl surives

Round 7

Earl still looks hurt, Bennett not doing anything.

Earl really is gone, but Bennett must be tired or something.

Oh some clean shots has Earl realling again.

Ref is really having a go at Bennett constantly (for butting).

Close round, but Bennett is in control.

Round 9.

Bennett looking increasingly tired, Earl now seems to have recovered.

Earl is dominating, Bennett is looking groggy.

Earl is on top here and winning the round big.

The Ref has stopped the fight - Graham Earl is the winner.

Oh contenscious here, didn't think he should have got stopped although not a majorly bad upset, Bennett was clinging on, more through exhaustion.

It was a good fight, you can still see how Ricky Burns beat Earl, Bennett would have aswell - but for terrible stamina he was blowing after the 6th.

I do have to say Great heart from Earl, David Barnes take note. He was fighting through a fog for the 7-8th round - KO'd Bennett in the 9th. Cannot really ask for a lot more than that.

Bennett is either tight at the weight or not a trainer, I thought the Dean Phillips result was a case that the Michael Muya stamina problems were a one off - obviously not.

Was looking good at first, I predicted Benett to win by decision

Bennets stamina seems to be a big problem for him, wonder why he fades so badly?

I don't know if you saw the PPV, but is Steve Lills reading this as I was typing.

He brought up the Michael Muya fight and also thought it was some one off originally.

Also said team Bennett need to examine if it is a weight making problem or is it just a stamina problem.

Just back from the York Hall it was a great night's boxing, Earl could easily have been stopped in the sixth, maybe if he wasn't the home fighter he may have been, but showed great heart in there.

Bennett collapsed onto his stool at the end of the eigth well out of it, he was totally gone and Foster (Who is one my favourite refs) did well to stop it. Bennett was taken to hospital after not sure how he is hopefully he will be okay. It was sweltering in there so that could have played a part too

Oakey won by two on my card, they look set for a rematch in September

Another good nights boxing from the Maloneys. I was going to ring tomorrow and say it was shit to get a months free training!!

Stu let me tell ya mate Bennett trains very hard twice a day...he does ten rounds spar and pads he was in the best ever condition tonight...strange

Didn't see it, but the heat must surely have been a factor.

I can't even begin to imagine the task of fighting in those conditions, especially when you're not used to the heat.

Think i'll try and download it later, sounds like a cracker. Was away at a 5 a side tournament yesterday, can only imagine what it must have been like to try and box in that heat, sounds excellent that Earl managed to recover. Cheers for the summary Stu

Thanks for that Jacko, and my appologies to Bennett for suggesting different - I believe he is an ex forces so usually the sign of a trainer.

As been noted, perhaps the heat got to Bennett or a weight problem. I don't know - but I do know he needs to have a long think about this before competing in another 12 rounder.

I do hope he is well.

yeah it did strike me as strange though, he had bennett then looked all over the shop two rounds later.

he must have put a hell of a lot into those attacking salvos for it turn aorund like that.

felt really sorry for him actually.

good heart shown by earl but he is gonna get smashed up by someone but credit where it is due, he really came back from the brink.

good fight.
