Hey lads anyone know any pubs in melb showing the card. Was going to get on fox but might make a day of it if i can find a decent pub showing it. Counter meal and a few sodas sounds like a good way to spend a sunday.

i used to love going to the club having a steak and a beer and watching the fights on Sundays. But all the clubs in Canberra and queanbeyan seem to have stopped showing the cards unless its a mundine or green fight, or sometimes the pacquiao ones. So I'll just buy it and have a bbq instead :TU:

it is often more comfortable watching from home and if you factor in the cost of lunch and a few beers it is probably a similar cost...

A disappointing result for Mick but what courage shown once again.
I think it may be time fior him to have a good lay off. I wouldnt think he needs the money and whilst he seems to have his faculties no human can take this punishment constantly over a long period of time.
Gutsy performance Kat.
As for the ref, he was an absolute disgrace but it wouldnt have made a difference to the result.

It was another great fight to watch. Katsidis lost no fans.

He knocked Gueerro down in the 2nd but the ref didn't score it and he also had 2 points deducted for low blows. Guerro won the fight well but it was always competitive anhd the crowd love Katsidis.

I still say he needs to mix it up and train with someone different for a while.

American ref but he seemed to lose the plot for a minute. he didnt count the clear knock down in the second round which has easily been a 10/8 round to Katsidis and then takes two points for low blows when there is no warning and i thought they were border line. Kat hit Guerrero with a very low blow and nothing happend. credit to Guerrero though. I remember seeing him fight Escobedo and always thought rocky would struggle with the south paw style and how aggressive/active Guerrero was. Kat didnt lose any fans but he lost the fight and took a lot of punishement in doing so.

i know we criticise guys for fighting easier opponents, but i think katsidis has earned a few soft fights. He cant keep fighting there type of guys or he's gonna end up being a gatekeeper

Kats really does need a coulpe of lower level fights just to get some confidence back. The poor guy needs to learn some defense, like a couple of people have already stated he might need to mix it up with different trainers.

I don't thing Katsidis lacks confidence. He is always ready to fight the best. If you fight top level boxers your chances of losing fights is high. Many fighters are unbeaten because they have not been ready to step up in class. Rocky does not see it that way.

Hard to argue with that. Perhaps it would give him some time to add some new elements to his game as well.
