Was pleased to read that an arrogant and drunk Jermaine pennant asked some girl what she was doing 'with that muppet' and promptly got chinned.

The 'muppet' in question was an ex pro boxer - Jason Brewster.

Doesn't look like much of a puncher, but still enough to put Pennant in his place.

In the actual newspaper Jason is quoted as saying 'it was only a jab, but he went down like a sack of shit'

I dont condone any boxer, amatuer of pro, hitting someone outside the ring.

But..... These wanky footballers deserve to be hit.

I despise most pro footballers.

Most of them are wankers.

Believe stan had a go at some of the Bath RFC boys a while back was all over the papars, had a go at saffie Robbie Fleck and swung a punch at grewcock.

needless to say the fracas didnt last very long.

now someone like a dunc ferguson might be more intersting.

hateley was a big hard so n so on the pitch too.

A mate of mine kicked seven shades of sh**e out of Craig Bellamy once after he tried to touch up his girlfriend in a nightclub - I think it was in the News Of The World that he got beat up by a drunken thug.

But not all footballers are bad, 90% of Pro's are really nice lads, players who I've met usually act in a very professional manner and are a credit to their sport but there are others who give football a bad name and only the controversial stories make the newspapers.

I certainly had a fair few run ins with members of the rugby team. A few verbals usually confused them and saw them off, fortunately really, they would probably have pushed my mush down my throat.

Having been on both sides of the 'rugby lad' fence, it's mostly the crap players (myself excepted...) who do the strutting. But it's the same for many sports - even cricket. If you're a big fish in a small pond you rarely recognise the boundaries of the pond.

Ironically I'd say the big exception is boxing, although I've been out and bumped into boxing types who were being utter knobs. But even my non-boxing mates comment on how self-effacing people who box or who have boxed are.

I know I'm lovely.

To be honest i am surprised at Pennant's behaviour, i met him last summer in Malia, Greece and even though he was generally wrecked most of the time he came across as a nice fella. Chatting with people, having photos and autographs done and watching the England-Portugal gamein the sports bar like a normal bloke...but i suppose the money catches up with your head eventually
