Completely agree thats why I think it stinks of unproffesionalism from Sky. They should have got assurances from Hatton/GBP/Khan what the card was and then decided if it was PPV or not. I don't think Hatton promotions plucked up Rahman vs Fury at negotations - I mean Fury fought an undefeated puncher AFTER this was announced to be on PPV.

We never saw with the Mag 7 bill - Featuring Brook vs Jennings and we hope 6 other title fights - if not it will be on Sky sports!. They got the bill up and then announced it as a PPV.

The one I feel for in this is MCloskey; I hope the bout goes ahead and Khan gets beat. He is a wonderful boxer but really thinks that he's on a par with Manny. He seems to think he's Sugar Ray Leonard

Whatever ultimately happens with this one, I think it is another prime example of people being out of their depth when it comes to the nuances of promotion and tv negotiations. 'Team Khan' & 'Team Hatton' remind me very much of the 'Team Hamed' of yore. Imagine being taken for a flight in a fighter jet and all of a sudden you decide to press the pilot's eject button because you think everything looks pretty simple and you'd like to fly solo. For a brief while you will keep happilly zooming along at super-sonic speeds and everything will look rosy. However, all too soon you will be required to bank left ot right, climb or descend; and don't even get me started on landing. You'll end up in a heap with millions of dollars worth of damage and a ground team scratching their arses wondering what the eff is going on.

disagree, this is skys fault ! whos stupid idea was it to advertise khan v tba as ppv. team khan will make good money and after this i dont blame khan for sticking to the usa

The simple truth is that the sums just don't add up.

SKY are not going to blow £500,000 by putting it on PPV and paying Khan his quota.

It was a miscalculation, who's fault it is can be debated, but the simple truth is, no one wants to do a deal that blows it's nuts in.
