Sky are very slick and also broadcast in HD.

Their production costs are massive and they need several thousand sales up front to cover their overhead and crew, commentators etc.

They felt that it was not worth risking as by all accounts this event will fall flat on it's face.

This bill has been an absolute shambles ever since it was announced that Crolla v Rees wont be on, withdrawals have it badly and now they are moving the fight to a channel who pretty much nobody has a clue about. Cant see Khan ever fighting in the UK after this, handled badly and it shows how much of a joke Boxing is at the moment, absolute shambles.

Would have been amazing to see ITV or someone step up and show it after they showed the Malignaggi fight, but the fact that it's being moved to a channel that only real Boxing nuts know about is farcical, Khan is our best fighter bar Froch maybe and both are fighting on this crap PPV channel.

Its been a farce all round to be truthful. Has this happened in Boxing History anywhere in the world?

Why are people though so pissed off cause its likely to be on primetime - it would was originally going to be on PPV on Sky anyway.... lets see how much Primetime charge and how long is running time before we slag it off completely.

Lets be honest, last UK only PPV - sky dissapointed big style.

Totally agree, primetime is shite. Their adverts, production and commentary is always sub standard. They are bargain basement.

I hate the whole "homecoming" fights that fighters say they are giving something back to the fans but what are they really doing fleecing fans by making it PPV and giving them a mismatch or less than competitive main event and undercard it does boxing no favours.

Hatton did exactly the same when he fought Lazcano that "homecoming" was merely a money making exercise for the Hattons they didnt give anything back to the fans.

Khan needs to realise that at his stage of popularity it is the fights not the fighter that make it PPV he cant just tout his name about because he was on ITV and the Olympics and try and make money off of it.

What a crock of shite.

Unbelievably short-sighted of team khan and you should never bite the hand that feeds you. Primetime is a very small channel and pretty much unknown. Is it even available to freesat, virgin & other non-sky viewers?

Sky should shunt him for all future fights now. They've got bigger stars out there to put on PPV and i'd rather they kept showing the W_rren shows than his one-sided shite. Reduce his bargaining power and then see them come crawling back

here here, I'm sure they will try and do something as they have no live Boxing this weekend now.

It's going to be an interesting week guys, plenty of developments I'm sure.

Is Khan managed by Mr Magoo?

I wonder if the same 40 people who bought the PPV register etc with Primetime after they had to get a refund off Sky.

Can you imagine if Haye v a Klit still hadn't been agreed, because of this farce?????

Afterall, it was the initial reason a deal couldn't be reached.

I do find it strange that Sky didn't try and salvage the PPV by looking into this bill.

I'm usually a man of very few words on this forum, because I generally find it it difficult to express myself with a keyboard and computer screen. But, here goes:

Amir Khan is a money grabbing prick, and I hope he falls flat on his face. Hopefully Sky wont touch him with a barge pole after this. I dont know who he thinks he is, he has barely fought anyone who I would consider world class (Maidana is pretty much it). So why all this talk of best p4p? He needs to comfortably put away guys like Mosely, Judah, Berto, Brook, Jones and dare I say it, even Mckloskey before any talk of p4p best is uttered. He is in danger of becoming delusioned and believing all the hype from the "team" around him.

So too sum up - Amir Khan = delusioned muppet

"Team Khan" = Wankers

Hope everyone can understand my ramblings!

Bit harsh re: opponents. Malignaggi and Kotelnik have proved to be at the very least fringe world class.

But other than that, despite being a Khan fan of sorts, I have to say a very dumb move by team Khan. As mentioned, why burn bridges with Sky? The Bradley fight is a guaranteed earner for him. Take a pay cut now, make the big bucks later. This is all Macklin's fault you know! :DDD

Yeah this could be a perfect opening for Froch to be on there.

Khan being badly advised, he's not regained anywhere near enough popularity to start demanding ppv for shit fights.

Sky should rip up hatton promotions contract if their boxers appear on this rival channel and refuse to show any more khan fights.
Why should we want that??????? The more tv channels showing boxing is good for the sport, i for one will buy the khan fight, :TU: what ever channel its on.
