New to site, how does this sim work?
The title says it all really. How do you play the sim here?

Saxon, the sim normally transcends description.
But, in short, highly sofistimacated Titlebout software is used to pit one classic/modern/rubbish fighter against another in a life or death struggle. Fighters are managed/mis-managed, two at a time, by us human (mostly human, in some cases. Sub-human in others) beings. The fighters are selected through a draft at the start of every season (when Adam doesn't fornicate the draft up with his outrageous noobery). The commish, when he's not missing (presumed eaten by crazed guppies), or dead (only so many volts a commish can take), is responsible for actually running the matches that we, the plebs, make, and posting up the results. There are many belts to go after, some worth less than others, some worth less than that, and some just worthless. A season runs for 40 weeks (not actual weeks, of course, but weeks of matches), or less, depending on the stamina and inclination of the reigning commish. Just like boxing! I hear you cry. Well, yes, but instead of Norman Stone, we have Crease. Ask who people prefer, and I'll tell no lie.
Saxoff.

Re: New to site, how does this sim work?
Great explanation. I've always thought we needed a sticky called "What is BoxRecSim" for the many posters who come over here and ask this very question. I propose GM's summary should be the answer.
Re: New to site, how does this sim work?
Well he conveniently left out the part that all who participate must be able to endure the relentless, humiliating and unmerciful beatings imposed upon them by GoldenBuzz Promotions and their stable of finely tuned precision sim-pugilists. I reckon if they can deal with that, they are welcome to be grist for the mill.
Such an addendum would serve as fair warning to the helpless and otherwise infirm group of unsuspecting, and hopelessy unprepared future sim managers.
