I say Ernie Terrell folds under the constant forward punching pressure of this massive specimen of a man.
Carnera wins by TKO in 10th round.
Canrera reach=85 inches(15 inch fist)
Terrell reach=82 inches

Carnera was big but from what I have seen of him he did not look like a big puncher at all. Terrell was quit crafty and very boring, I see a wide points win for Terrell or possibly a late stoppage. Carnera was a tough dude and if he was able to take Max Baer's best for 11 rounds he would probably survive Terrell.

So I see. Very well articulated.

.....and while the subject was brought up.
Carnera WAS indeed a rather lackluster champion. Neon Leon and he might have to split the prize for being ho hum.

...my post about carnera was about his courage, which he did show in the baer fight. it is not meant to imply he was a good fighter. he wasn't.

second that. unbelievable how he was all over the
place and still kept standing up. don't think people
today would do that ... and while i think they should
not, it is nevertheless great courage to keep trying
while you have no chance left whatsover.

You can clearly see Carnera's right ankle buckle under his weight (263 lbs)during the second knock down.
Not only that but he was being punched by the man who was voted to have the most powerful right hand in(the first 50 years)of heavyweight history.and Max Baer was in his prime too.
So give some props to Primo Carnera.

"Props" sort of defines Carnera's career. Much was done to "prop" him up along the way. Max was very mean spirited to knock those props out from under him......unless of course someone simply forgot to to inform Max of the "prop"er etiquette when fighting Primo.

Wow,You guys sure are a tough crowd".
Would you believe that Carnera actually won a few of the rounds of the fight with Baer despite having
the chipped bone and torn ligaments in it from an early knock down?
Carnera had to wear a plaster cast on it for three weeks.

Well if you want "props" for Carnera, I happen to think he really KO'd Sharkey, though I also think that Jack posed for Primo to provide an authentic nature to the event, so that fight may qualify as the first "reality based" drama.
