I am no fan of Sky but for you to use the word 'obscure' to describe Sky Sports 3 when comparing it to Premier Sports seems a strange choice.

I would bet a pound to a pinch of shit that were the fight to be aired on Sky Sports 3, rather than Premier, it would get in the region of 40 times the viewers.

Edit: I meant Primetime rather than Premier, I think. I'm not sure.

got to agree most people who watch sports on sky would have sky 3, and most would tune in to watch the fights so who cares weather its on sky sports 1, 2 or 3. But prime time ive never bought that before in my life and im not going to start now - how much do they charge on that channel anyway for ppv. I heard half the time the coverage is crap.

The cheaper Sky Sports Package (Sky Sports 1 and 2) is with Sky aswell as BT and loads do this. You used to get Sky Sports News with the deal, but that changed when it went from free view - so alot of my friends are no longer getting their daily Georgie Thompson fix. If you want your Sky Sports News you have to pay full whack.

Alot seem to be saying the GBP promotions should have bailed out the PPV by supplying the undercard - who though???? Who was available..... Daniel Jacobs??? - you think he's a big enough name to make this a UK PPV - come on, no chance.

Lets not forgets its NOT a US PPV - with it being shown on delay in the states - so there is hardly going to economical to bring up the likes of Mosley etc for a non US PPV and the non US PPV's names are not big enough to make an ounce of difference here..... as demonstrated by the Haye vs Harrison bill - a world title eliminator was on that card, didn't even get shown.

I think his team have accepted they're going to take a massive hit either way and have been somewhat screwed by SKY so it's their way of saying Feck you to them and taking the fight to Primetime. It'll give them options for when they come back a few months later with the Khan vs Bradley fight.

My point still stands, that by going this route, in order to give a childish feck you to Sky, his team are letting their hyped up egos get in the way of Amir's career.

Getting a run out on primetime, with the inevitable car crash PPV figures it's going to mean, will bring ZERO back to the bargaining table with sky next time out, apart from a large slice of humble pie.

Doesn't show much. Noone buys PPVs that far in advance, they never advertised the PPV to buy and some can't even until the day.
