I like Dempsey's. It was his signature punch and he closed the show early with it.
No real argument with anyone on the other choices though...

Walcott had a hell of a hook too.
Re: Best left hook at HW?
Walcott should be on the list. 100% agree.

Agreed, and I would say Frazier pips it.Goodnight, Irene wrote:Got to be a two-horse race between Dempsey & Frazier, IMO.

Jersey Joe Wlacott should be on the list but my vote goes out to Joe Frazier.
Re: Best left hook at HW?
The problem is Frazier couldn't land on Foreman... and Dempsey couldn't land on Tunney.Goodnight, Irene wrote:Got to be a two-horse race between Dempsey & Frazier, IMO.
I liked Joe Louis's triple left hook that he dropped Max Baer with... I don't think there was anybody he couldn't get his hook on... Wladimir showed good left hooks versus Eddie Chambers, Ray Austin, and Kubrat Pulev... It was a nifty weapon for him from ages 31 until about 38, before that he didn't cut it as well.

Yeah but the problem is Klitschko couldn't land on Sanders...
