I agree with that. Some ex boxers only train boys the way they trained while they themselves did while active. Good trainers will take your strength & weaknesses & work with what they have. I trained with a great boxer who only trained one way & it did me no favours. All boxers have a different mindset , you must take this into account.

i remember when i used to go down to the Matchroom to watch the sparring with the likes of Hide, Silky Jones, Collins , i even see Benn there sparring a few times ,Richard Evett ect ect and they all said that Freddie King did a marvelous job in bringing them foward in there careers and i think he did wonders with my brothers aswell

Joe Gallagher - Our freddie roach
Enzo Calzaghe - Must have been good to get all his fighters to go unbeaten and have 6 titles in the gym at one time.
Robert Mckraken - Does well with amateurs and pro's so looks to be an ideal candidate if an amateur was to go pro.
Brendan Ingle - One dimensional but when it works, it works wonders
Garry Lockett - I believe he is an up and coming very underrated trainer.
I also hear great things about jimmy tibbs, anthony farnell, brian hughes and bob shannon.

In my personal experience of training around many different clubs i found tony harris and steve glover to be decent. But best ive trained for is Jawaid Khaliq

if you want to go on current form then i think paul gallagher is THE man.
However i am going to name a few
Oliver harrison - IMO very underrated, Khan did good under him and moore, mathews and murray all have different styles yet are all able to adapt so i think he's a good trainer.
Paul Gallagher - Our freddie roach

Yh most definitley Brendan ingle I's no way one dimensional and he I's more than just a trainer he I's a inspiration and a motivational speaker he can build up a young kids confidence he can do alot even now but he has aged alot of the fighters coming from that gym are not "brendan ingle" fighters they are "dominic ingle" fighters and both have diffrent methods I'n their training which if u look at the guys Brendan taught and look at the guys dominic teaches kell brook being taught by Brendan as a kid along side Dominic and John would help but now it's diffrent way round Brendan now teaches and spends Time on ppl on how to train your mind and mindset or then there's dominic's mindset Which u choose who u look up to and want to follow and diffrent set methods I'n training that Brendan does I'n training a fighter differ from dominic ingle. But dominic's I's ok aswell but Brendan I's on a diffrent league all together shame he wasnt 25 years younger.. I also think some one should do a really long documentary on this mans life don't want to miss the chance to hear from a legend and how his life I's now and what he still offers and just document his story I'n full till from when he first started to now..

What i meant is ive never seen someone from that gym with a Ricky hatton style or a technicians style. They Teach one style and that is it. There are so many journeymen from that gym which is why i said sometimes it does not work but when it does with Rhodes, Nasseem, Witter, Nelson and Brook it is Brilliance

And niether does ricky hattons gym have fighters that fight I'n a ingle style the amount of fighters that walk I'n that gym not all people can excite or develop as excellent fighters alot that are journey man i can say are probably the most akward journey men to face so yeah it's not one dimensional I'n anyway and i actually have seen a fighter that can fight I'n a very diffrent way to the traditional ingle style yet was trained by Brendan and mentored by bendan but won't mention a name because action speaks louder than words.. And I'm sure he will be out more this year..! U can't expect to be taught a Ricky Hatton style I'n a gym like that with different methods completely different to ricky Hatton.. and alot of depends on the person and how they have been nurtured and the environment you're I'n at the time naz was around herol Graham and johnny around naz and a young Brendan and kell around a young naz but who do u have there that I's of that sort of cloth no one really only man with true and great there I's Brendan ingle... Boxing I's more than a sport it's a mindset..

i totally agree. He does teach them how to be men rather than just boxers and that stands them in good stead in the ring. My criticism of the style is that i have never seen them come up with a plan b. However I always point to the fact that had Prince stayed with the ingles, then he wouldnt have suffered that Barrera loss. Many trainers train different styles nowadays so that their fighters are able to adapt. Cant knock the ingles, the style is revolutionary and many people i know have been up there for short training camps to incorporate some of the techniques into their own game.
