Why are biased editors still editors?

When someone removes correct information from a record due to bias, one must wonder why they are still an editor.

Example.... http://www.boxrec.com/boxer_display.php?boxer_id=016554

Information of knockdowns in the Barrett and Jirov fight are stricken from Joe Mesi's record.

The information has merely been moved to the Wiki page. Click on the book symbol on the fight line. Editors are trying to clean up fight records so they don't have a lot of miscellaneous crap in them.

Having knockdowns in the records isn't exactly miscellaneous crap.

Actually, it is. Look at any record book -- you won't find notes like that in there. From what I understand the wiki pages were created, in part, to house all comments of that nature. That way the comments were still accesible and the records weren't cluttered with a variety of notations that may or may not be relevant to the person viewing the record.

There is no book icon on any fights on that page. Maybe it's my browser...?

I'm all for putting that crap on a different page. I'd extend it to the scorecards and the referee too, though I'm sure that's been discussed.

Not sure what the point of having all that brief information seperate is. Wasting space and time?

It is my understanding that due to the recent heavy traffic, the blue book Wiki icon fight comment link was temporarily turned off. It should be restored soon.

If anyone wants a "bare bones," black & white record, without scores, refs and the like, just click the "printer-friendly" icon on every record. I know that there are some of us (perhaps many of us) who enjoy having some bouts comments visible on the default record for primarily the pre-World War II historical fights--without having to click the Wiki icon several times. The concensus seems to be to put all bout comments for "modern" fights in Wiki, with some rare exceptions (such as noting a pro debut).
