Archie Moore's Record is incorrect
Archie Moore's Record is incorrect
Archie Moore's last fight on BoxRec is against Mike DiBiase. Mike DiBiase was a pro wrestler, and his "fight" against Archie Moore was a pre-determined contest. As such, it shouldn't be on his record.

Archie Moore Confusion:
Archie Moore never won the world Heavyweight title as everybody knows, I understand that, and of course was Michael Spinks the First ever 175 Light Heavy king to win a portion of the Heavy weight title against Larry Holmes.
NO PROBLEM, okay, I got it.
But if in that epoch (non minor sanctioned bodies such the current fridge WBO, IBA, etc, etc) the only ‘world’ boxing bodies were the old NBA, the old NYSAC, the old California-Mexico, the old IBU… and what’s about the old Nevada boxing commission?
Nevada World Heavyweight Title
1955-05-02
196½ Nino Valdes 209½ 32-8-2
Cashman Field, Las Vegas, NV, USA W PTS 15 15
Was the Nevada ‘World’ Heavy weight title a ‘World’ belt for the 50’s and 60’s?
So, if it’s correct, why he was not the first ever 175 world champion to gain the Hvy world title?
Is there an error in your Archie Moore’s pro records, or just the Nevada title was a fridge poor title? Which reasons are/were? Were in the NYSAC more beautiful women and more people with nice houses and cars than in the Nevada Commission?
But, how the Nevada title compared in importance (and other factors) with the old NYSAC and the others I mentioned? Does somebody know the history of those old boxing bodies?
Just curiosity. Peace.
Thanks for read!

re
Bob Fitzsimmons was actually the first 175 & Hvy champ as he first won the heavyweight title and then after losing to Jeffries, Fitz won the Light Heavyweight Championship. I am pretty sure that Moore's bout with Mike DiBiase was in deed and actual boxing match!

Hello my friend and BoxRecord wizards:
Yes, Barry, but I mean ‘moving up’ on weight divisions from 175 to Hvy, not from 160 to Hvy.
----------------
Example: Spinks was the reigning 175 World champion (he did'nt have other different weight titles at the time)and moved up and defeated the then current World heavy weigh holder on Larry Holmes.
Instead, Fitzsimmons moved from 160 (the first ever 160 World to win the World Heavy) to win later the World Heavy title, and finally he net the 175 World moving down in weight, no up in weight.
--------------------------
Here are the facts:
1(1) BOB FITZSIMMONS(UK/ NZ)
1st Title 160 World Middle Weight Title 1891-01-14 150½ Jack Dempsey
