Round by Round Khan bill.

Post by stujones »

So far I have Watson 3-0 up.... just too busy, Purdy does look strong in there, but not doing enough. Watson is cut though.

I'm not to sure what Purdy's plan is? He's catching alot of the shots on his gloves, but not coming back with much

Just as i posted that Purdy has his best bit of the fight so far, caught Watson with some better punches

Purdy is frustrating me.... he looks a fair amount stronger than Watson - pushing him back and when he lands Watson is concerned.

Just not throwing enough though.

Closer round, but I still edged it for Watson.

Stunner - but I am NOT surprised!!!!! Purdy wins TKO in the 5th. Ref waved it off - right hand, Watson got up, ref waved it off..... His legs were gone. Good stoppage.

Every time Purdy landed, Watson seemed to be hurt.

I though Duke called it "Anastacia punch" - "I'm outta love".

No, the ref is a muppet. It was a hard knockdown, but Watson was up and should have been allowed to go on.

yeah, 1 right hand shot, Watson went down hard and got up, faced the wrong way, when he did turn around you could see he was gone. ref rightly waved it off

Bloody hell really never seen that one coming. Everything seemed to be coming together for Watson but then this happens! Good win for Purdy. Wish I bought it now

Well after i watched Purdy v Douglas a couple of years ago, i thought Purdy would struggle getting to British level. but he's now Champion well done to him.

Totally agree, always thought he was an exciting English level fighter but he proved me wrong with his performance against Vassell and now this result! Fair play to him though.

He was totally gone. Didn't know which way the referee was when he got up.
