Round by Round Khan bill.
Re: Round by Round Khan bill.
At the end of the day the eight count is a chance for a fighter to get up and recover a bit. If Watson was gone he'd have been counted out after ten. He was shaken badly, but he was up and could have gone on. He may have been stopped soon after, but you have to give the man a chance. S**t like that makes my blood boil.

no way , he faced the wrong way when he got up, when he turned around the ref spoke to him, and Watson didn't raise his gloves and his legs were gone.hitman_hatton1 wrote:yeah agreed.ArtOfWar wrote:No, the ref is a muppet. It was a hard knockdown, but Watson was up and should have been allowed to go on.alexpaterson wrote:Did Purdy spark him?
he was hurt but deserved a chance.
not gonna be right as rain after catching em like that.
Re: Round by Round Khan bill.
He was facing the ref at the end of the eight count and i've seen plenty of instances where a fighters head clears in no time. The stoppage f**king sucked.gobbles wrote:He was totally gone. Didn't know which way the referee was when he got up.
Re: Round by Round Khan bill.
A shock result! But Watson had his back turned so decision was right!gobbles wrote:He was totally gone. Didn't know which way the referee was when he got up.

Looks like Eddie has a bit of the Midas touch! A new British champion for his stable.
Junior Witter with a VIP pass in a Hatton show.... mmm, whats up there!

Am I right in thinking Watson says he can make Light Welter if so then I would pick him over Theophane! Lots of places for him to go thoughstujones wrote:Lots of options I guess - Hatton maybe?alexpaterson wrote:Where now for Watson? O'Donnell III? Adar? Gavin?

Brook won't fight purdy! But if purdy signed with matchroom him v vassell be good first defence or odonnell !stujones wrote:Brook against Purdy??? I guess Macarinelli should have been allowed to have continued in his last fight also.ArtOfWar wrote:At the end of the day the eight count is a chance for a fighter to get up and recover a bit. Will it be a night of shocks. Weird atmosphere there. Maybe a small bet on McCloskey. The Succubus has got him!
Re: Round by Round Khan bill.
O Donnell I could see, not sure if Hearn would want to lose the title to a Hatton fighter though (Vassell) - Vassell was a pretty clear winner in their first fight IMO - thriller that it was.leforge wrote:Brook won't fight purdy! Never thought I would hear Buffer say "the Boxing Binman". What must he be thinking. Class

Re: Round by Round Khan bill.
have they used the whole arena or half, is it a big turn out there
Re: Round by Round Khan bill.
Enzo was allowed to continue in his last fight. The ref allowed him to maybe get back into the fight after the first knockdown, but it wasn't to be. Fact is though he was given that chance.stujones wrote:I guess Macarinelli should have been allowed to have continued in his last fight also.ArtOfWar wrote:At the end of the day the eight count is a chance for a fighter to get up and recover a bit. Stu thought first fight with purdy was very close! It good if matchroom are increasing there stable of boxers! There few he could fight for first defence!
Re: Round by Round Khan bill.
Round 1 - Bit of a chess match, both looking at each other. Munroe looks the strong - some nice body shots.
Munroe 10-9...... I think this will be a comfortably Munroe victory points, maybe he can force a late stoppage (which will look impressive).

Re: Round by Round Khan bill.
Round 2 - closer - Opponent was busier, Munroe looks the better and classier when he does open up. I think it the corner have suspected he might be weak to the Body.
Ummm - I'm call that round even or to the opponent.
20-19 (Munroe).

I quite like this guy commentating, and Duke is more subdued with his comments, a good team so far.
Re: Round by Round Khan bill.
mmmm - Munroe looking a bit flat, when he does open out he looks a different class and alot stronger, but isn't opening out enough.
Another close one - hard to split.
30-29 Munroe (I don't normally like to give even rounds).

Round 5 - Munroe better in this round, why is Munroe allowing Isaev to push him back is beyond me. Munroe landed some nice shots though.
