Khan will never be a p4p great and will be destroyed at Welter but is still a World Class fighter.

Lets get this right here guys! The doctor saved McCloskey from much worse facial damage. McCloskey barely threw a punch and looked to have no possible chance of winning. Also how is it Khan's fault? I'm sure he would quite happily have peppered that eye for the next 6 rounds on his way to a whitewash victory. Taking a step back and looking at it properly McCloskey has done better from the stoppage than Khan. Khan bizzarely finds himself a hate figure for something he had no control over. McCloskey walks away with everyone's sympathy and with repuation in tact, able to claim he would have won. Frankly McCloskey should send the dr a thank-you card!

This was a world title fight and thousands of punters bought a ticket and travelled to Manchester to watch it, and many bought the ppv. If Khan had been cut like McCloskey was, do you think the doc would have been in the ring urging the ref to stop the fight?

I still havent seen it on tv yet, but I have seen photos and hear first hand account from people who saw McCloskey post fight and they all point to a very poor decision to stop the fight.

Yes a thousnad times over! If Khan was cut its still an accidental clash of heads off to the score cards to hear 60-54 60-54 60-54 and still Light Welterweight champion.

Khan was winning the fight which ever way you look at it, but I think Mcloskey's had the game plan that he would get to Khan in the later rounds. Would this have happened? we dont know, had Khan started to use the upper cut to better effect he may never have got the chance to excecute his game plan?

Boxing is full of what if's we just have to wipe our mouth and get on with it. McCloskey needs to line up a fight with a top 10 Light Welter to stand a chance of being a world champion now. Maybe the winner of holt v diaz next month? (unlikely) but if bradley v khan comes off and the winner does move up to Welter he may get a chance at a vacant or an eliminator. Which ever way you look at it its a hard road ahead and may be Khan was his best shot at a world title? I think Mcloskey is a capable fighter but will he be a world champion?

Actually, all good points. On reflection, you are probably right as Khan was 6 rounds up at that stage. Yeah, I would like to see McCloskey fight a name in the top 10, the winner of holt v diaz would be a decent option.
