"What's to be considered more of a form of trolling?

Saying Haye would not fight the Klitschko's after backing out of a fight 3 times. You had lots of people who shared the same exact views. Surely everyone can't be right in every prediction of would be fights happening, but to call it trolling? That's laughable.

I'm the one asking the question...

This is trolling, something you said (along with other things) which is vastly different from stating an opinion.

So asking me to answer a question, which is not what we are debating is neither here nor there, now is it.

Trolling is rooting for a fighter?

Nothing wrong with rooting for fighters. However, do you root for fighters or do you:

....post inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum, chat room, or blog, with the primary intent of provoking other users into a desired emotional response[1]

No need to tell me, keep that answer to yourself.

Your not stupid, clearly, you are however doing your utmost to avoid discussing the oringinal point I made, in relation to your original reply.

PS I really do now need to get back to work, we can continue this via PM, if you so wish.

If you read the comments in a regular Klitschko/Haye thread, mine are considered tame compared to the rest.

You can't possibly tell me that you don't want to see Haye spark Klitschko to give a giant middle finger to those who doubted him in the Current Scene.

Kindly retract the sentiment that McClellan was, "far more talented than Toney," to recover lost respect :TU:

That I can respect, whether I agree or not.

Surely, though, even you would admit your comment was made in the heat of passion, & not something you truly meant.

Probably was a 'heat of the moment' thing, maybe my wife was chewing my ear to do the dishes, set up the laundry or some other god awful un-manly task..

Toney??? Dont agree with that one bit. That's just Toney's smack talking and you believe it. Toney, to this day, is way, way overrated here, on these boards.

Benn fought McClellan, who was in his prime and pound for pound the hardest puncher with some of the smoothest boxing skills, not to mention a fantastic chin and you say he wouldn't go near Toney??

A simple WTF dude??, is in order here

Benn beat Gerald McClellan. I don't think Toney would have beaten Gerald McClellan. I also don't think Toney wins against the Benn from that fight.

A great memory of Benn is him spanking Iran Barkley in one round on Barkley's home turf. Amazing night.

Interesting to note that it tool Toney 9 rounds to do what Benn had already done in 1.

In retrospect, it will always surprise me that a guy who could win an all out war with Gerald McClellan, could fold so easily against Watson and to a lesser extent vs Eubank in the first fight.

Benn didnt fold easily against either Watson or Eubank. Against Watson he went completely gung ho, threw a load of leather that Watson blocked, gassed then got kayoed. Similar story against Eubank except he landed a lot more but Eubank outlasted him. After these fights he significantly changed his style and became more of a box-puncher than all out brawler. I think his superior defence compared to McClellans that he adopted following the two losses enabled him to win that fight

I find it hard to see Benn winning over a peak Toney. Yes, one can always envision Toney on one of his weight drained 'off-nights' losing a decision, but he had more good nights than bad, and style-wise Benn is made for him.

As for McClennan being more 'talented' than Toney . . I mean, yes, the guy was born with a bigger punch. But that's it, he was not as fast, not as coordinated, and not nearly as skilled boxing-wise.

I agree with you...I think Jones ducked him big time.

The Watson KO is odd - He falls over from a jab and just takes the count sitting on his backside. Clearly gassed after trying his hardest to hit Watson with his Sunday punches for six rounds.

Despite Benn steamrolling everyone there was some smart money on Watson to outlast Benn. Great fight wasn't it?

I got a call from a mate in London who was a real Gym wag. He told me to put my house on Watson. I won a few quid on that fight, although it broke my heart as I was a big Benn fan.

Benn's older brother died when he was a kid and this had a profound impact on him. He was an angry young man who wanted to fight the world.

His early style was reckless and macho, something many young fighters are prone to.

Against Watson it was as if he was on a suicide mission. At times he just lets Waston hit him. Absolutely crazy. Watson recently said that he thought Benn was the best man he ever faced.

In the first Eubank fight it was a more polished performance but again he just blew all his gunpowder early on against a very strong and durable opponent.

After that he was more measured and a much improved fighter. He was still susceptible to an accurate shot late in a fight (Galvano) but he was a far more dangerous opponent.

McClellan was a huge favourite. For a while he was an internet darling, these days he probably gets underrated. He was an excellent fighter.
