Re: MITCHELL VS MURRAY
Seen both close up. Know Kevin pretty well. No bias , but I think Mitchell is the man with more skill. Showed in the Prescott fight he can change styles & for me john only walks forward trying to overwhelm. Kevin for me
Re: MITCHELL VS MURRAY
Murray for me, I think Mitchell sruggles against a 'proper' powerful Lightweight, he looked tiny next to Katsidis and I take Murray to walk him down. There is obviously much bigger doubts in my mind now after the most recent Murray showing which was far from impressive, but based on his earlier form I take him to bully Mitchell.

Re: MITCHELL VS MURRAY
See your point but I wouldn't class Murray as big and powerful as Katsidis. I wouldn't say that Murray is anymore bigger and powerful than what Prescott was and Mitchell handled Prescott well enough. Murry is a walk forward fighter who is hittable, you could put similarities with Prescott but think Prescott carried more power than Murray and more explosive, Murray is more of a wear them down type. If its the Mitchell who boxed Prescott then he'd have to be favourite to win, if its the Mitchell who boxed Katsidis and if the loss has effected him then the favourite is Murray as we dont know if Mitchell can pull a performance out the bag again like he did against Prescott, whats it been, nearly a year since Mitchell boxed? That amount of inactivity is not good at any level.TheCobra wrote:Murray for me, I think Mitchell sruggles against a 'proper' powerful Lightweight, he looked tiny next to Katsidis and I take Murray to walk him down. i think Kevin can win the fight but i think he's got to block all the crowd out and don't get carried away and go looking for a war if he can do that then i see him winning on points
Re: MITCHELL VS MURRAY
there's neither of them as good as they looked in their very best performances and neither as bad as they looked in their worst. Mitchell is a very sharp boxer when he 'wants' to be; if he can keep composed we will be in for a treat of a bout. Murray is slicker than he looks and bull strong. I am looking forward to this one
Re: MITCHELL VS MURRAY
im thinking that if Mitchell is fit, boxes at distance and sticks to a plan, he'll wear Murray out. He's been thinking about this one for quite a while now. Jimmy Tibbs stops Gallagher's unbeaten run I reckon.

He may be able to fight all night, but can he box all night??
Lee Mcalistair had him in trouble but ran out of gas, Mitchell sticks to the boxing and he winds a UD in my opinion

Re: MITCHELL VS MURRAY
It's an interesting one because both of them have styles that will trouble the other, Mitchell's movement will trouble Murray and Murray's strength and aggression will trouble Mitchell. It's a matter of who can implement there style on there other, I see Murray effectively cutting the ring off and firing off his combinations trapping Mitchell in corners and pushing him back. I think Murray could get him out of there late after giving away the early rounds before coming on strong late.
