David Haye speaks exclusively to BoxRec News

Post by dondada »

http://news.boxrec.com/news/2011/david- ... -confirmed

Ben Carey asks far more searching questions than Big Aud did. Fair play to Haye for responding :TU:

Certainly tougher questions than Audley posed him! Great interview for a great site.

Good piece. I enjoyed his responses. Ian, did he enjoy being interviewed? He comes accross as a pretty articulate fella.

Ben did the interview and it was through a proxy...Ben was deliberately being a bit mischievous so as I said, fair play to Haye for answering...though he apparently said "cheeky c**t" a few times :-)

I've spoken to him a few times - nice fella, very articulate, great sense of humour.

What odds for Wladimir pulling out in the final 2 weeks and Vitali offering to step in? I do think Haye has picked Wlad as the more beatable - can't blame him for that - and the Klitschkos know it too. They don't like Haye and this kind of stunt could really mess with his head and challenge his claims to be prepared to fight either. It would be a risky strategy given the money involved but I wouldn't be surprised to see it happen.

I've wondered since the bout was announced, if this would possibly be a tactic used to throw off hayes preperations. allow haye to prepare for wlad, then claim he has an injury at the last minute and allow his brother to step in at the last minute with a completely different style (although thats porbably just paranoid conspiricies)

as for the suggestion that wlad is more beatbale. i find the idea laughable. the 2 brothers have dominated this division for years and wlad is considered no1 in the world. it will be a monumental task for haye to beat either.
i believe he can win, but suggesting that either of the klitchkos will be the "easy" option is ridiculous.

we all know about wlads suspect chin. but none of us have seen anyone anyone land a testing punch on it for over 5 years as he has built such an impregnable defense in front of it, namely his piston-like right and left hands and cautious approach, which will be used again against haye.

First round of the Peter rematch, Samuel buckled the legs of Wladimir.
