Jamie McDonald Next Opponent

Post by Londonirish »

How's it going with Jamie McDonald next Opponent?

Here's a few that i think would be a good workout but a Comfortable win for him and Sky would approve...

Phumzile Matyhila 17-1-2 http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_ ... &cat=boxer at 35 and aint beat much, McD naturally the bigger man.

Paulus Ambunda 14-0 http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_ ... &cat=boxer only 5ft and aint fought out side Namibia yet..

Mark Quon 10-3-1 http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_ ... &cat=boxer Think this one would be a walk in the park, he's fit just fought and got one coming up...

Mudde Ntambi Rabison 17-1-1 http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_ ... &cat=boxer Rated at Super-Fly but i think would'nt mind stepping up if it was for a Commonwealth Title, Easy Win....

Tyson Cave 14-1-0 http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_ ... &cat=boxer Rated at Super Bantam, if he could make the weight..

Sebastien Gauthier 20-2-0 http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_ ... &cat=boxer Hardest then allabove but still a Comfortable win...

This is a riser fights

Macbute Sinyabi 16-1-0 http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_ ... &cat=boxer Again Super Bantam, but has boxed at Bantam... Looks a Big Puncher knocked all 16 out but has been knocked out, the fights over 12 rounds...

He hopefuly is in for an easy Night as there cant be any upsets... There is bigger fights for Better Titles maybe him and Hall maybe in July....

Any news yet of an opponent...

I would love to see him fight Gauthier. The Canadian is aggressive, hard punching, and he can be hurt. I think that would be an exciting fight, and it would be more competitive than most of the other proposed bouts.

Who is Jamie McDonald? Is he related to Steve and Liz in Corrie?

Bet Jamie McDonnell isn't pleased that someone with a similar sounding name is now boxing.

Nar i doubt it palo.... be a tough fight for a couple of rounds when Stueys at his most dangerous but his old legs will catch up with him n he wont be able to keep up with the pace. Mac stops him late rounds, hes never been in deep water or fought anyone whos bigger than himself. He had a lot of trouble from the much smaller Powers in the middle rounds and i think if martin had youth on his hands it would have been a different out come imo.
Good fight whilst it lasts tho.

Ive been really impressed with McDonnell and Hall recently two fighters who arent afraid to test themselves and are looking to get themselves on the fast track for titles and clean up at Euro level and look towards fringe world where there will be opportunities after Donaire moves up and the Showtime tournament winds up there will be lots of belts flying around and with Jamie no9 with WBC there could be opportunities for whoever wins this match.

Im siding towards Hall but should be a cracking matchup IF it gets made

Sky have a big say now. Jamie is looking good in the gym and he will be ready for whoever they put in front of him.

After he defends his Commonwealth title, he musts defend EBU title with former european flyweight champion Ivan Pozo, surely in England.

My opinion is jamie mac is at a different level to Hall and in reallity beatin him he gains nothin, where as he keeps doing well in europe he will soon get a world title fight,If they did fight I fancy jamie mac to stop him as his fitness is unbelievabl and his variety of shots will catch him all day. Mcdonell for me by late stoppage or unan pts win

Your right Sky has a massive say, the final say they have to agree on the fight.. All iv got on the list I'd fancy Jamie to win quite comfortable... Can't see who else it would be, don't think it will be anyone from the UK as they would already have to know to be able to make weight, Davis Wale etc the same for the UK Super Bantam, they is No Super Fly that would be able to move move..

I do agree with you it's only Hall can gain from the fight, if I was Jamie I wouldn't take the fight unless I had to. Maybe Jamie wants it tho, prove he is the best in Britain.. You say keep doing well in Europe, Hall is in Europe and is rated Number 2 Jamie number 3..... That's on the Boxrec ain't sure of the official rating... Which I don't understand how..

Boxrec ratings mean nothing its just there own computerised points system..

The official ratings are Jamie CHAMPION. mand Malik Bouziane. 1 Vladamier Sydorenko. 2 Ivan Pozo. 3 Stefan Jamoye. 4 Jerome Arnould. 5 STUEY HALL Bouziane is Fighting for the IBF super Fly title in May so we have heard Pozo will be made madatory hes a former fly Euro Champ n world title challanger. We would love the Sydorenko fight :OhYes: what route would you look to go down martin?

Sydrenko and Ivan Pozo would be the fights that I'd love if I was Jamie the fight wouldn't go past 6 rounds, think the Jamoye fight would bean easier one then last time, you know what your going in against and he's tasted defeat since, the Arnould fight would be another good one for Jamie winning comfortable within 8 rounds, this time would be in England and now the experience Jamie has going and training for 12 rounds fights.. I make Hall and Malik the hardest of the 5....
