Why was this moved? These were real pro heavyweights and it was sanctioned by the new jersey state athletic commission. I just wanted to no the fighters and format and who won. this isn't a legit boxing questio?

I guess it was moved because the Current Scene is about, to make a wild stab in the dark, the Current Scene.

To your question, do you mean an actual Toughman tournament of the People's Choice tournament which Tony Tubbs won (in Mississippi, not NJ).

You mean the Toughman seriies promoted by Art Dorr, with Leeann Tweeden interviewing them?
back around 2000 that was on the Fox channel?
I remember Butterbean and Cody Koch"the Alaskan Assasinn" came from that series.

What ever happened to the big Romanian heavyweight Daniel Dancuta?
He was in the final against Tont Tubbs.
Dancuta was pretty good.He was being trained by Mike Tyson's old trainer Kevin Rooney.
Dancuta later on in his career gets knocked out by some muscle bound dude, and then retires from the ring after only 19 pro fights.

Yeah, he was seen as a pretty good prospect after his People's Choice performance. I too remember being disappointed when he quit.

Dancuta was still only 24 years old in his last pro fight.
Possibly he may have suffered bleeding on his brain after his first and only loss by knockout.
I dont even think he was on the canvas when the ref stopped the fight against Jimmy Thunder.

Toughman...Schmuffman.
This a professional boxing forum.
Those clowns soiled the sport as far as Im concerned.

I think I remember it.
It was around late March 1993 at the Taj Mahal in Atlantic City.
The culmulation of all those dumb shows and even more stupid competitors that were being shown
every week on some weekly cable show.

Who won?
the geezers who got u to pay 20 dollars to watch that crap on pay-per-view.
