Anyone Heard of this kid before ?

He's on the undercard of Gatti - Mayweater, the chaps called Joel Jair Julio from Columbia, 20 yeras old, Won 18 (17 Ko's) and ko'd Carlos Wilfredo Vilches in 3 rounds. Does anyone know if this kid is being hyped up to be a force to be reckoned with ???

Yes he is, I haven't seen him but am hearing very big things.

His fight with Vilches has been shown on Channel 5 about a half dozen times. He's definitely a legit prospect with a nasty punch. Vilches didn't want to know (I think he might have had his jaw broke).

Julio threw lots of power punches if i remember. It was an ok fight while it lasted. I was expecting it to go 12 since Vilches had not so long ago went 12 with Hatton (albeit an unmotivated Hatton). I was impressed by what i saw and Julio looked as if he could dig a fair bit as his record shows
