You have got the life of Riley; I were happy hoping I'd have enough in my pocket to pay the SKY bill and buy some beer to watch the fight. You've wrecked my happiness and plunged me into a hell of jealousy; yeah, cheers :TU:

''boxrec gringo lynched by alvarez banditos''
Will be the headline in the mexican local rag the next day (it won't make the mexican national papers as it would be deemed un-newsworthy) if rhodes does so much as win a round.

Tear ups right, we all love boxing but to do a 10,000 mile round trip in one weekend just to watch a fight is a bit extreme.
Then again if you've got the dough and you enjoy flying good luck to ya :TU:

Clearly i put this in the wrong section, was just looking for some friendly advice from anyone that may be going - stranger things have happened after all.

Being in the US its not unheard of to visit mexico for a long weekend. Thanks all the same for the votes of confidence :TU:

I have flown to the US twice just to see flights, I dont see whats so wrong with that if you can get good flight, hotel and ticket deals.

Going to Mexico would be a whole different adventure though. I would suggest trying to make contact with one of Rhodes team and booking into the same hotel as them, at least you have safety in numbers that way and I bet they will be glad to welcome any fan who makes the major effort to go there. You could probably get up front for the press confenece and ringside for the fight as well, as there is a good chance you will be just about the only Rhodes fan making the effort to go there.

Good luck and I think its a great idea.

Thanks I have just got tickets for hopkins pascal II in Montreal which will be about a 7 hour car journey for us, so the Mexico trip will probably be a shorter journey. I read that they will take about 30 fans so hopefully we can bump it up to 34 :) - like you said safety in numbers. Just need a contact ..
