Re: Kell Brook next fight
Alfonso Gomez would be a good test at this stage in his career! Bailey is a good shout as is Lovemore N'Dou. He does need to be stepped up but I think he can make the jump to world level
Re: Kell Brook next fight
Kell needs a test in his next fight.
Someone proven that he can outclass and then show he is really on the scene.
End of this year beginning of next for a World Title shot after he wins on 25th June
He has the skills and the power to do it

Re: Kell Brook next fight
He needs to step up so I'm not sure why people are getting so excited about Lovemore N'Dou.
How competitive do you think he'd be over here against a young, heavy hitting guy with ambition? How long is it since he lost to Witter? 5/6 years?
The other names - Gomez, Clottey, Corley - would be decent names on his CV..here's hoping he gets 2/3 tests before the year is out before stepping up.

Re: Kell Brook next fight
Eddie knows Kell needs his profile raising, so I think he'll pay the moula to bring over a fairly decent name to Sheffield (a Corley/Clottey type)tear up wrote:matchroom wont give the money for those to come over will b some african guy with great record bet my old boxing boots on that who prob b rated quiet wellCaptain Hook wrote:He needs to step up so I'm not sure why people are getting so excited about Lovemore N'Dou.

It's a step up in class for Kell and the fight will give him a familioar yardstick to be judged against. Kell's not only got to win he's got to look good doing it, I reckon he stops the rock solid Lovemore.
Kell is a BAD BAD man, who's going to lead Britains charge for it's next wave of World titles.
COME ON KELL!!

Excellent match up - A lot of people like me have been waiting to see Brook make his move, and this is it.

Re: Kell Brook next fight
Be shocked and pleasantly surprised if Brook can stop Ndou. A wide points decision would be impressive. But a stoppage would really mark Brook out as a blue chip prospect. Ndou has been in with some of hitters out there like Cotto and Cintron and even they couldn't stop him.Tommy Gunn13 wrote:Ndou is definitly a step in the right direction,if Kell can stop him&look good doing so thats a good statement
Well done Matchroom on getting Kell a good test!
Re: Kell Brook next fight
I would say on a par with the Jennings fight - certainly acceptable. Ndou was one of the poorest world champions in history and he now an old man and not at his correct weight. He was fortunate to draw with Matthew Hatton a couple of years back, Hatton has improved since then, Ndou has gone back.
Its still a very acceptable fight though, more of the same please Matchroom..... also I feel Barker vs Spada is acceptable - again, nice one Matchroom.

Re: Kell Brook next fight
Spada a good opponent for Barker especially after a year out. Ndou is durable which is what kell needs rounds.stujones wrote:I would say on a par with the Jennings fight - certainly acceptable. Re: Kell Brook next fight
Good matchup and a step in the right direction, but he wont be able to stop him, i expect a reasonably wide points win.
Re: Kell Brook next fight
That would be impressive - he's a tough old mofo.Dan Dares wrote:http://news.boxrec.com/news/2011/kell-b ... emore-ndou
I fancy Brook to end this within 6

Re: Kell Brook next fight
A dull Brook win on points would not be satisfactory tbh, as I said I don't see N'Dou coming here with any ambition. Why would he?
A devastating stoppage would be impressive, but one thing about N'Dou is he's durable.
I see this being a bit like Ricky Hatton v Ray Oliveira..
A big win here and then bigger names is what he needs. It is 6 years since Junior Witter beat N'Dou and he has gone backwards since then.

Re: Kell Brook next fight
Yes agree, its an acceptable match up. On a par with Jennings, maybe not quite as good on paper. Should get him some rounds and experience - but its no acid test. It was an acid test for Matthew Hatton a couple of years ago - but this was a fighter who had lost to Craig Watson and Alan Bosworth.Captain Hook wrote:A dull Brook win on points would not be satisfactory tbh, as I said I don't see N'Dou coming here with any ambition. He is, he's never been stopped, but I think Brook's well capable of doing it, and should be looking to make a statement.Ian 'Mr' McNeilly wrote:That would be impressive - he's a tough old mofo.Dan Dares wrote:http://news.boxrec.com/news/2011/kell-b ... emore-ndou

A points win over a 39 year old N'dou isn't that much of a statement.
Re: Kell Brook next fight
ill take that back what i put on great matchmakin some one must of read what we put on ere about ndou ha great fight hope kell shines and gets the big fight as know match room can gettear up wrote:matchroom wont give the money for those to come over will b some african guy with great record bet my old boxing boots on that who prob b rated quiet wellCaptain Hook wrote:He needs to step up so I'm not sure why people are getting so excited about Lovemore N'Dou.

Re: Kell Brook next fight
Love this fight, N'Dou is rock solid and almost guarantees Kell the chance to get 12 rounds under his belt which is important as he steps into world class. Also gives him chance to show the world his array of boxing skills, not just his speed and power. I think you'll see evidence of one of the best jabs in british boxing, classy defence and good stamina.
I also agree that if Kell CAN stop this kid then it will be a massive statement as Alvarez, a much hyped kid who is probably naturally bigger than Kell, couldnt work the trick. My money is on Kell winning a fairly wide UD and in the process showing the fans that he's got all the tools to step up.
N'Dou comes to fight and so unlike certain other opponents Kell wont have to go looking for him. A really good test and one i'm looknig forward to already.
So chuffed it's in Sheffield, and one of the possible venues - Hillsbro Leisure Centre - is about 100 yards from Kell's home. Great chance for Kell to finally build a following. TOP MARKS to Matchroom - good opponent and topping the bill at home in their first fight. Shows everyone why Kell felt that this would be a good move.

I say put him in deep get him spanked, then he might go away and learn soem boxing fundamentals.

. Interesting, what boxing fundamentals would you pass on to the lad? (He reads this site avidly so I'm sure he'll be curious)Jon Saxon wrote:I say put him in deep get him spanked, then he might go away and learn soem boxing fundamentals.
